My mate Don is very curious now about your reference to “indies” as he is a direct retailing independent that shifts lots of appliances anyway. It’s nice to share information without treading on anyones toes so to speak.

Perhaps you may consider a ‘PM’ to Don instead over this question? Please! 😀

Very interesting, but I was referring to fridge/freezers in this instant 🙂

As long as you can provide proof of purchase (if asked?) they can tell from the date code stamped on it exactly how old it is anyway. There should be no charge to you unless you have contravened the ‘conditions of warranty’ provided with the machine, your statutory rights will not be affected in any way.

Do you know if the washvac.com site is actually live?

Yes, business as normal and working alongside the Parts Center web site. Washvac will notify all account holders of the changes in due course (by the end of June I expect)

    Re: Hoover AC272-001

I will try my best for you Brian based on the rubbish wiring diagram Hoover provide 😕

According to the diagram, here are the MODULE to MOTOR PLUG connections:-

    Module 1 to Motor 8
    Module 2 to Motor 7
    Module 3 to Motor 6
    Module 4 to Motor 5
    Module 5 to Motor 4
    Module 6 to Motor 1

    Hope that helps you ❓

    Re: washvac

OK as promised from the horses (not Goats) mouth 😆

As of June 1st….WASHVAC are no more. STOCKLINK whilst still in operation has not and (at the moment) will not be updated ’til further notice. Orders need to be placed via Stocklink b/4 1 pm to get next day delivery.

Wolseley have taken over in total and many WASHVAC reps are well miffed by the uncertainties of the outcome. Now the problems with the PARTS CENTER website (i.e. getting Identifier to work etc) will be resolved by the end of June at the latest. All sales reps are having in house training on the new website next Tuesday (June 14th).

The new Parts Centre web site is costing the company £10,000’s at present, so look out for them wanting to offset that cost onto us…the customer 🙁

There is a strong lobby of individuals that meanwhile are trying to retain STOCKLINK but don’t hold your breath on that!

That’s the latest….stay tooned for more from the horses mouth :rotfl:

Oh yes, this site uses it, spares@ can be processed through it, I have the use of it on my website too! 🙂

It works well, they cop a bit of commission of course on all transactions, but very reasonable though. Very reliable and secure too 😉

    Jeremy,

I’m on to Wash Vac (Parts Center) over this very issue. Stay tuned for an answer as soon as I get the ‘horses mouth’ open 😆

I’ll get back to you A.S.A.P…..!
