    Re: Premier Electrics?

Knowing how much they charge, how lucky then for those that read the ‘local rag’ around these parts ‘cos they can get a 5 quid discount with this….

Certainly is possible, just contact your local council for a list of approved electricians in your area 😀

Let’s just say that Jimbo’s ‘tip’ is a good get-out if when you open the box of a new FHP Motor, there’s no plug kit in the box with it 🙁

Otherwise I go along with Bryan’s sentiments every time 😀

Sorry Andy but now you’ve got me confused 😕

First off on this thread everyone was (I think?) talking and diliberating over ‘Condenser Dryers’ and all the various friggin t/stat kits available 🙁

Now you are referring to Hotpoint WD type t/stats, which are as you know, completely different. So, that confusion has been sorted, my question is :- Why would you need to eventually find out that Hotpoint have increased the tolerance of their WD stats by just 10 degrees?? What or how does that come about? and why should it make any difference I wonder?

Forgive me, but the Red Spot (or Yellow Spot T/stat) on a WD is simply that…a t/stat that regulates the dryer temperature. So why the need for it to ‘trip’ at a higher temperature?, and how or why would you want to know that?

I”m not being funny on this but really am fuddled as to the what, where and above all why? I am confident you will explain

The water inlet system and sump hose will most likely be blocked in this case. 😉 (what part of the world is this machine located, as this model is NOT sold in the UK) 😕

The ‘husband’ takes time off from work to allow access to repairing the machine. But in an pathetic attempt to display ‘male chauvinism’ declares he “hasn’t a clue as to what the problem is with the washing machine, because that’s the ‘wifes department’ !!!!!” 👿

Whilst dissappointed in realising the recent ‘mail-shot’ missed my letterbox, Ken kindly sent me a copy 😀

I must say it is an extraordinarily brilliant publication, well set out and comprehensive in its message, far too good for any recipient to cast aside or bin it without at least a good read….BLOODY EXCELLENT – WELL DONE CHAPS

I love reading your analogies and analytical theses on varies subjects, but I think that again you may have missed the point of this very specific issue.

The subject of taxing the British public off its roads is the latest Government masterstroke of total incompetence in dealing with its future. A tiny island overwhelmed with 65 million people and more flooding through the barriers daily from eastern Europe. Millions of motorists driving along thousands of highways and byways trying to earn enough to pay even more tax rises imposed by a political system thats concerned not for the well being of its people but rather more concerned with balancing the books and strengthening the coffers of the exchequer.

Some brilliant minds were bashing their heads together on the issue of installing more roads to overcome the gridlock. But they were rapped on the knuckles by some obscure Government quango who (using an abacus to prove their point) concluded that more roads would mean even more traffic and more chances of congestion and gridlock.

So the brilliant two-toned, two faced Transport Minister decided to tax the motorist to the hilt, squeeze every last penny out of the beleaguered motorists pocket to discourage them from using the roads in the first place.

So when (not if) this system is implemented, inflation will be the first to show. Industry will fall on its face through ever spiralling market prices but the roads will be full of fat cats in big cars laughing away at the clear road ahead!
