Simple enough job for you to proceed with the job then I reckon. π
Theres only 3 wires involved and you swap them one for one. Theres the Yellow/Green earth lead, one Blue wire to one spade terminal and one red wire to the other

Nick,
The automatic dryer sensing is via a NTC fitted to the bottom of the condenser, so that could be your problem β For ‘timed dry’ it is not used in the circuit so that may explain your findings π

russt,
No probs on the SHOUTING by the way π
It sounds as though the water inlet side of your machines cycle is not operating? I would advise getting an engineer in to check it out for you. We may have one on site covering your area? Try this link : –

I can do them with my eyes shut and one hand tied behind my back, but its my trade and business to know how to do it after all π
As for you to do, and with the greatest respect, I would advise caution, a little know-how goes a long way and without it?…you will struggle possibly? Sadly because of the legalities of advising the general public on matters that can result in health and safety issuses, I cannot advise any further….I’ve just given you my oppinion on the likely cause that’s all.
If you are in any doubt, do check out someone like me on this site that can fix it for you here: –

Down to personal choice for you here Loopy, take a guess π
loopy wrote: r these prices good?
Of course they are, anything bought on the Internet is cheap, with no recall if it fails to be delivered on time or is damaged in transit. Plonked on your doorstep for you to sort by yourself. π You get what you pay for that’s for sure. However if you buy from your local independant retailer, the price is still the same (almost at least) but for that you get personal service and much much more….!
Your choice..we have done our bit thus far for you (we independants that is) π

Ged,
Take a real close look at the pressure tube again. Almost always they rub against the tub and puncture….always replace the hose before even thinking of replacing the pressure switch. :lesson:
Also the cold valve will usually fail on the dryer side and to be certain you’ve sorted the machines problems totally, simply replace that valve AND the hose

ParticipantRe: Zanussi Washing m/c leaking
Francis,
How soon after you turn it on does it leak? Straight away almost or after a couple of minutes and more? If the former, then you need to clean the soap drawer and inside the dispenser cavity. If the latter then its an expert fix job to sort out a blocked water level system. That can be sorted via our engineer help line…: –

loopy wrote:which vented dryer do you recommend and where can i get the drill bit to drill the massive hole in my garage which is where it will have to go!
I’m pleased you told me where you plan to put it π ‘Cos an electronic dryer in a garage is to be well avoided due to the fluctuating ambient conditions within unheated buildings, low temps and damp the main problems π
You are best to fit a cheaper ‘timed’ vented dryer in a garage, try to ensure frost-free conditions and the dreaded damp of course π
Bosch again do nice machines, any model in the mid price-range is to be recommended. You can get the tools to put a hole in the garage wall from you local ‘Tool Hire Shop’, just tell them what you intend to do and they will advise accordingly. You can buy a wall vent kit from B&Q, Focus or Homebase to suit.
