Yeah you’re dead right there John 🙁
Funkyboogy puts up a bloody good ad for BG I must agree and £2k a month an impossibility surely ❓ . The threads theme is falling on it’s backside thanks to him and the not so subtle BG recruitment drive. Clearly this guy is a plant by them to offset the negative stuff we have generated 👿
Thank heavens Chris’ reply was another brilliant Penguin masterstroke to hopefully counteract that statement, referring to “living in a bubble” no more than the real truth

Thanks Ken, yes their Caller system is different you’re right. I’m not sure if he users a Mac though, I doubt it ‘cos he was referring to MS Visual Basic I think? I know there’s lots of software progs around but none that can extract existing database information and incorporate it. It has to be loaded from scratch therefore 1,000’s of existing customer information has to be loaded individually, which is no good 🙁
Ah well, I will pass it on, thanks 🙂

Ming Lam,
I do believe that machine was not made for sale here in the United Kingdom, perhaps you should try closer to home, maybe the shop you bought it from could help?

:lol2: Nah! wrong!
Whilst the question is pertinent to this trade perhaps, I was actually using this forum to hopefully solve a problem for a mate of mine who runs (shall we say) a “PR” company in Nebraska 😯

Only snag with that Bryan is simply that many members wish to remain anonymous ( including yourself I believe 😉 )…. ❓
Besides, we are all up for repairs@ and don’t want to be overun with work now do we 🙂

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint 6556 fan problem
A squirt of 3 in 1 oil on the phosphor/bronze bearings each end of the rotor will help
Curry cooked in the oven??? Try using a pan on the gas hob next time :lesson:
Maybe it was the ‘vindaloo effect’ that stopped the fan after all :rotl:

Bonus Ball ?
Each subscriber is alloted a number (1 to 49) mid-week National Lottery Draw Bonus Ball, the winning number cops the lot that week 💡
As the subscriber numbers increase we include the Saturday Draw as well 😀
Any numbers drawn but not allocated means a ‘rollover’ to the next draw.
Payout being a cheque in the post to the lucky winner.

Well, well, well….the lady did not replace the machine after all, she didn’t need to in fact…I fixed it!!! 8)
I was never happy with not knowing what the fault was, it was bugging me anyway, so for the first time in all my 30 plus years, I picked it up and brought it home for a closer look in my own time 🙂
Of the seven wires that plug into the motor, 5 go to the Power Module and the other 2 go to the Stepper Timer. Having removed the Timer, I spotted a dry joint, tickled it with a hot soldering iron and BINGO…sorted 😀

Merritt,
Condenser dryers are not as energy efficient as vented dryers owing to the complexities of their operation, but come close nevertheless. But as it is being installed in a garage perhaps you would rather consider buying a vented machine and knocking a hole in the outside wall and installing a vent kit?
Also, lay linoleum or similar waterproof floor covering onto the bare concrete floor to prevent rising damp should the floor not have an adequate DPM 💡

Nice work if you can get it eh? No wonder someone else (very recently as it happens) is nuzzling in to try and get a slice of the cake 😯
