Probably your dishwasher shares the same drain coupling as your sink, and likely that joint coupling is blocked or restricted in some way 🙁

Whilst the Hotpoint mentioned is a good value and a fairly reliable machine, its use in the environment you intend is not a good idea 🙁 They are vulnerable to damp and tumble dryers generate a lot of that, so a very risky product. Far better the Bosch in my opinion as it has no known susceptibilty toward that situation 😉

    Martin Ic,

In actual fact it refers to a ‘fill error’ and not a big problem for an engineer to sort for you. Just pop in your details in our repairs@ for a local engineer to take a look for you 🙂

Just got off the phone from David Brock…seems he has read the negative comments here on UKW and is not a happy chappy. Simply refering to this site as, and I quote ” there seems to be some confusion over my motives on certain websites!” 😆

    Akkie,

Don’t bother fixing it yourself. Simply phone Hotpoint on : 0870 9066066 and they will replace the Whole DRUM ASSEMBLY for labour cost only (about £90)..

    …trust me I know these things…go for it… 🙂

    Karl,

But he usually asks for your email address during that friendly chat, then you get bombarded with stuff from them 🙁

Let us know if you get any 😉

    Kevin,

It’s usually a water level control system failure. I assume you have checked the drain filter? If that is the case and it still gives problems, you need to get an engineer in to clean and service the machine. Check our repairs@ for a company in your area 😉

They will not do the cheap fix I was talking about, so forget them on that! Best try a local company and tell them about our conclusions OK?

No problem, just needs a new inner door trim to fix. Let us have the exact model number for getting the right part. Possibly available in our 😀 shop@

    Peter,

    No, a good sign

It means the chip within the programme module hasn’t been zapped by this failure and the board can have a ‘soldered link repair job’ done with more than a 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} success rate. It also means the heater is OK too I reckon 🙂

Pop in your details on repairs@ to see if we have a local engineer covering your area 💡

    Chris,

The 2 fault codes can indicate both a pump problem and a heating problem. Well worth getting checked out if the machine is in good order. Check our repairs@ for an engineer to contact you in your area.

Re: Bosch 6312 Dishwasher: No Heat

    Pms,

It is likely the circuit board is at fault. In many cases however it can be successfully repaired therefore no spare part required and labour only. So if you were in my service area and such a repair applied, then your looking at £50 tops 🙂

One quick question though first: If you set your machine to ‘reset’ will it indicate “0” (Zero) pump for 60secs then switch off? (See your user booklet if you don’t know how to reset the programmer)

    Dan,

Sorry we cannot determine whats gone wrong even from the information you have given us 🙁 We could speculate the many likely causes but there is little point as Indesit will fix it for you under the terms of the warranty 🙂
