    Craig,

It will almost certainly be board failure (usually the rotary switch unit on the PCB fails).

As this model only came out from 2001 it may be covered by an extended parts warranty πŸ™‚ so do check with BSH Appliance Care Ltd first. πŸ˜‰

    Andy,

Wiring diagrams and schematics for AEG are rarer than hens teeth and not available to the general public anyhow.

Specifically what is your problem, maybe we can help πŸ™‚

    Go for it Toni!

PAT testing can be very lucrative with letting agents as your customer. Mind your charges though, which usually are a whole lot less than regular call-outs, or should be.

    Toni,

You could be right but first ensure the ‘wiper brush’ unit is making a good contact on the drum. If it doesn’t make good contact the module does not play ball πŸ˜‰

Also worth replacing all the stats in case one is playing up (cheaper to do that than buy a module and find it wasn’t that πŸ™ )

    Alison,

First thing to try at this stage is to ‘reset’ the programme. πŸ˜‰ From memory, with the machine turned on, press the 2nd and 4th buttons together and hold for 2 seconds. That should turn on the drain pump for 60 seconds then turn off!

Then try a programme, see if it works πŸ™‚

    Re: Bosch wfl2260 smell…..

    Joe,

It will need a few long hot washes to help cure this I guess. Calgon is worth putting in to help with what is really a build-up of limescale. Also try 3 heaped tablespoons of Bicarbonate of Soda in the drum and set on a 60 degree wash cyle to help clear it.

Finally, remove and scrub clean the dispenser tray and inside the dispenser cavity. My advice also, is to avoid liquid detergent in a hard water area, powder or tabs are best πŸ˜‰ Plus scrape clean the folds of the door seal too πŸ™‚

πŸ˜† What happened with the snapshots Oldtog took then? Did the old codger forget to put film in his Box Brownie or what πŸ˜†

    Copied from NESN’s web-site :-

“Our β€˜Cradle to Grave’ concept is able to provide total service provision from the point of manufacture through to disposal.

As the market place changes, and consumer β€˜demands’ become greater, it will become increasingly more important that one company can deal with all aspects of consumer servicing. We feel that we are ideally placed to work as trading partners in these situations.”

    Lawrence,

You started this thing after all and I agree, it does need tidying up a bit. Perhaps we should indeed compile it ALL into one thread, good idea πŸ™‚

“Trade Tales” “Tradesmens Stories” “Joe Public” etc etc…..

OK guys, fair do! (incidentally, I am ‘doing a Penguin here with late posting- check the time here on this one’ πŸ˜‰ )

I will try to keep this idea going, and keep adding to it, til we can get something worth the bother of it all that is.
