    Mike,

After you e-mailed me it occured to me that it could be the element. These all electronic controlled machines these days can throw up all sorts of nonsensical, illogical error codes that send us all ‘barking up the wrong tree’ 😆

Glad you got it sorted relatively painlessly in the end 😉

    Re: servis m60130al wont spin!!

    Alan,

First of all your machine does have an out of balance safety circuit within its Control Module (cannot be overridden). Heavy uneven loads will simply tumble and attemt to spin during the spin cycle. It will continue that process a number of times throughout the timed period of the spin, if it is still way out of balance it will simply stop at the end of the cycle.

If however it doesn’t spin at all, even without any load, then you have a Module and or Motor problem. Judging by the age of your machine I would suspect the former 😉

Ah! A Danish model, very good, well the same instruction applies as it is similar to the UK versions nonetheless 😉

Let us know if you have any further problems then 🙂

    Tut tut!

My opening statement was ” I am posting in this forum on behalf of a customer I went to today “ in the hope that someone would not only recognise the make and or model, but would advise who she should contact to get it fixed.

It’s partly my fault I guess because those that replied, seeing that it was me that posted it, naturally assumed it was in a Trade Forum 8)

Both she and I are still confused as to who can get it sorted though 😕

💡 If the background colour was different in the public area’s, that would be a dead giveaway to all those posting there 💡

    Re: Siemens S9E1S Dishwasher

    Niki,

Whilst I do not recognise the model number you have given us, I believe it’s likely the floor pan of your machine is flooded.

Firstly disconnect it from the electricity supply, pull the machine forward slightly, then tip it backwards by about 45 or 50 degrees. That should allow any water that has collected in the floor pan area to drain off out of the back (Have a towel handy to mop up 😉 )

Let me know how you get on 🙂

    Thanks guys,

But how does that leave my customer (who will be visiting this site to find out 😉 ) as to whom to contact in order to get it fixed ❓

Not me I hasten to add, I’m only acting as a 3rd party here. The call is in RG postcode land by the way

    Thanks!

    Ning Ning,

The Hotpoint is fine overall (facilties/value for money etc). Reliability is questionable and extended warranty a must. The Bosch is in a much higher league I admit, BUT, you only get what you pay for after all 😉

    Re: Merloni

E-Jobs…the way to go for sure and I see Merloni’s daily position is putting them more and more in the shit. We however will come out of this smelling of roses! 😆

News of NESN and 50,000 Merloni (warranty only) calls will only end in tears, but not for us 8)

Alex mentioned Broadband?, well the minority of us at this time only enjoy this facility. In the not too distant future EVERYONE will have Broadband and therefore more and more of our ‘colleagues in the trade’ will want to join and be part of UKW and e-Jobs.

I can only guess at this stage, but I suspect 60{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} plus (of us in the trade and registered with UKW that is) only use UKW rarely now and again when it suits them. When they get Broadband however, they will most likely be connected most of the time and monitoring constantly 😆

    Hope we can handle that?

    Re: Siemens

    Niki,

Do please furnish us with the model number, there are hundreds of different machines from Siemens. Only then will we be able to fully advise. 😉

The number on later machines is on the door adjacent the latch mechanism, older machines just to the right of the door latch 🙂

Re: Creda First Choice GDW50 – Thermostat Problem

    TonyL,

Hotpoint would be irresponsible to say the least in simply giving you the part numbers of the thermostat and FSD. You need to appoint a CORGI registered service engineer to repair your appliance. The sooner then better, DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY REPAIRS YOURSELF!

I would suggest however the problem is with the Thermostat!
