Sadly, I did take a look and quite honestly is was….well…fine 😉
Bit brave putting up your Service Charges though I thought, possibly might put a few ‘Internet anoraks’ off maybe 😕 I personally avoid telling them my charges to the point of contact on the phone. It works better for me that way 🙂

P.S. Please tell me you were teasing about the music though 😉

Cam,
As Alex commented, the best, possibly even the only way youngsters can enter this profession is by joining a national service organisation.(The likes of Hotpoint, Hoover, British Gas Etc) They usually have set training procedures/training schools and the finances to recruit them in the first place.
The only difficulty with that however is they don’t too often have openings for new recuits. Also when they do it is likely not to be in the region the prospective applicant resides 😕

I’m sure the guys in South Yorkshire will chuckle along with you on this one 😆 They having suddenly realised that Whirlpool are not the only fish to fry in the grand scheme of things 😉
There is life above and beyond that outfit 🙄 (personally speaking that is, as a true born and bred South Yorkshireman exiled in Hampshire)

ParticipantRe: New Bosch WFL 1660 with poor spin performance.
Valvo,
Also take care not to ‘over suds’ the machine by putting too much detergent in it. One of the problems with todays ‘sophisticated’ electronic programme control devices is that they ‘sense’ certain out of balance situations far too easily. The end result being that on the final spin it takes more time deciding whether or not it is really out of balance rather than spinning at full speed. 😕
One can easily put in too much detergent from the outset which ultimately means the machine has difficulty rinsing it out, thus affecting the final spin performance.

I did check this with my local Wash Vacs Rep (who has access to this site by the way) and he confirmed the larger companies that order more do indeed enjoy a better discount. When I cited the example here, he was surprised at the actual difference (some 12{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d})but nonetheless agreed such a discount was possible.
The conclusion being that there are Trade Prices and there are Trade Prices non of which are the same 😉
He further commented that ‘Servis’ spare part prices are, quote “a joke anyway, worst in the business!” unquote.

Now there’s a thing 😕 Dave quotes £23.99 from Wash Vac and I can only see it listed as £26.46 trade. Has the big man from the West got a better trade discount from them I wonder ❓

Darn right they will I agree, but the only major problem they have at the moment with that is something I am associated with… RF Breakthrough! i.e spurious radio frequency signals on adjacent channels and their multipliers cause havoc to modern remote control devices.
Regarding electronic gates/garage doors, most operate on or around 150 Mhz (analogue FM) with poor EMC (RF Shielding potential) which means that little old me can open the gates to many a mansion or stud farm around here simply by keying the PTT (Microphone button that is) on my high power mobile radio transciever 😆
Currently digital systems are being installed but the major problem there is limited transmitter range (using a keyfob device) and expense. Therefore many prestigious homes and businesses stick to the ‘get out of the car and hit the 4 digit keypad’ mode.
I just thought I would bore you with that one in passing 🙄

£26.46 the latest trade price for one…….Gold dust is cheaper but the price for both keeps on rising as the clock keeps a tickin’ 😆 But hey! think of it as an investment 😉

I use X10 cause it’s cheap, well cheaper than the alternatives at least, and Homevision to control it all. Alarm will soon be handled by Comfort and that leads to allsorts of security tricks I can do. 😉
A server in the house runs for HA for voice feedback……….etc etc…..
And you think I ramble on ❓ …What is he takking aboot.. 🙂
Seriously though, this canny Scot has got everything and more that has ever or will ever work using Ohms Law. He has got more high tech gadgets around his hoos that even Heath Robinson has yet to invent. I bet he even has a device that automatically opens the door of his garden shed (where he keeps it all) as he approaches 😯
