Barry,
Can you provide us with the PNC number of your machine? That can be found on the rating plate below the model number.

Sorry guys, they lost last night, I lost my bet. 😥 Perhaps I should have stuck to Cricket after all? 😳
My latest ‘hard to ignore’ tip though, is that HAMPSHIRE will be this seasons COUNTY CHAMPIONS!
But don’t tell anyone OR risk your money on my priceless sporting tips from now on OK 😉

You are paying for it Deb, simple as that!
They are a high class product with high class service to match that comes at a price. Miele are top of the pile in this business, and no-one can argue otherwise. There is a great divide between them at the top and the likes of Bosch a way down the ladder, with Candy and Ariston at the very bottom.
Pay peanuts you get monkeys, pay pounds you get a better deal all round!
Hope your dishes come out squeaky clean from now on?

Dave_Conway wrote:De Dietrich is a wholly owned product name of Brandt, and that is not a Brandt part number.
I got the part number after dialling the De Dietrich national number in the phone book. It turns out I was put through to these folks:-
The Part Number must be their own internal number I guess? Have you heard of these folks before I wonder?

Its likely to be a broken wire in the harness adjacent the door hinge, shorting intermittently against the metalwork!

ParticipantRe: Indesit W103 – Eight flash fault
Mike,
Its a Heater problem, either a faulty heater, heater connection OR and what I think is most likely, a faulty electronic module/and or connection to it!
The main electronic module board at the back are very troublesome!

Deb,
Just one more thought here…….I assume you have carried out the Meile ‘Water Hardness Test’ and set your machine accordingly?
If you haven’t, then the integral water softener can either be over or under regenerating? It is most important this is carried out before use, also if you live in a SOFT WATER AREA, then you will not need to use it anyway!
(Charging a water softener with salt in a soft water area will indeed leave white marks on cutlery and no doubt leave them with a saline taste to boot!)

Timer problem sorted by EMW (thanks to penguin45).
EMW can repair these Bosch/Neff/Siemens (AKO)Timers easily, have all the replacement parts to repair (in this case) burnt out heater switching terminal (for £29…incl yrs guarantee)…..BRILLIANT!

ParticipantRe: Candy SE220
The Hoover/Candy SE220-001 doesn’t have a 3 port pump and its number is 91200600. However a modern series Candy 3 port pump with a magnet motor and filter is part no: 92742980 Without filter is 91200618

I did a review last December on an Indesit WE14UK but Ken had a problem getting it up on the ‘Reviews’ site at the time. Then I guess it got mislaid? But if it works now I might try again?
I know what you mean about Google searching out key words like Diplomat. A year or 2 back now I had on my own website a reference to ‘Ocean appliances’. I deleted that reference because I was getting emailed queries from Timbuktu, Kazakhstan and Cardiff…!!! a nightmare it was !!
