You will need to read Service Bulletin 599745615 on Procorner and look up the service kit that relates to the PNC number of your appliance. It’s not and Electrolux by the way but a branded John Lewis. So try looking under John Lewis once you have established the complete PNC number. 💡

The door seal isn’t likely to be the cause of the water leak certainly not in the quantities you refer to anyway. I would take a close look at the air chamber and pressure switch (that controls the amount of water in the tub).

But trying to rectify faults on a 15 yr old dishwasher will always be challenging and often soon as on thing is sorted then other takes over. At the moment you are in what we call in the trade…. ‘The boy with his finger in the dyke stage’……..and as soon as you take your finger out……. 😉

But seriously, I wish you well, you are braver than I. 😀

Axxa are ‘ambulance chasers’ nothing more, nothing less. All they want is to find blame for a quick claim and having your PL Insurers details will help them no end. It is only right you inform your PL insurers and perhaps they too can offer you some advice and assistance. 💡

    Re: Bosch dishwasher recall fire

You sold a secondhand dishwasher in 2010. At that time there was no recall on the product. It wasn’t until the following year (2011) that BSH publicly issued a recall that affected the model you sold the year before. It was the responsibility of BSH to deal with that recall and, as far as I’m aware, no retailer has been prosecuted in relation to selling on these appliances.

I am at a loss as to why they would drag you into this situation. Maybe Jackal can help you out here?

Supply before and after photos, WTF? That added as trading terms to do business with them speaks volumes. Avoid any a temptation.

The cooling fan is very costly so perhaps you ought to check it out first. 💡

Power fully isolated first don’t forget. :zap:

The motor lacks a TOC so I suspect the overworked motor blew the inverter?

The ‘minestrone soup’ are gel crystals (lovely shade of brown) that are an important part of the essential water softener process. Leave well alone!

I’ve just checked. It should be the usual : set to 6 o’clock, press and hold the ‘spin rpm’, set to 7 o’clock, release spin button the turn selector to off (12 o’clock)

On Siemens the reset is slightly different. I’m out of office right now, will get back later if you haven’t sussed it by then. 😉
