Door interlock connector plug burning out is an issue with these.

Fit a complete new wiring loom for funny money. But better still reconnect using insulated spade terminals (aka Amp Tags) 💡

If it is an early version it will need to up rated thermostat modification (part no. 41024208). The preset temp has been increased from 172C to 182C. That stops ‘nuisance tripping’. 😀

All lights flashing means the microprocessor is stuffed. Probably caused by electrical ‘spike’ during power cut. 🙁

Stopping after a few seconds is nothing whatsoever to do with the heater, period!

The fault is to do with the brush sensor pick-up of the drum. If the electronics do not get a reading from the brushes it simply shuts down after a few moments. So the drum sensor band and the brushes need checking. Probably just need cleaning?

Not something you need to buy and fit but simply check out and clean if that is the fault…..

Can you give us the full model number (PNC no) of your appliance?

I think it more likely an issue with the pressure switch/transfer pipe to the tub. The banging you refer to, does that not relate to the red float switch going on and off, up and down?
