Directly under the water container, right there! You can’t miss them and the one on the right releases the water into the tub. Unless that water releases the machine will no longer fill.

kaibart wrote:well pat testing for a earth fault on Bosch appliances is a total waste of time in my opinion as I’ve been to so many with a earth fault on motor which a pat test does not pick up
At the risk of straying ‘off topic’ here but you are very much mistaken. A Megger or PAT would instantly pick up on that. The motor and all other components within are directly connected when power is applied.

grommit_lad wrote:Not sure where the drain valve on the salt container is or what it looks like …. can you elaborate?
Salt container, two valves side by side, the one on the right.

The ‘drain valve’ on the salt container (the one on the RHS) could well be at fault. Was the heat exchanger chamber (aka “plastic storage tank”) fairly full of water prior to you draining it?

ParticipantRe: PAT tester damages Siemens dishwasher module?
I don’t believe for one moment that a PAT tester, whether it be 500v or 1000v would be the cause of the power board failure. We are talking about a tester that generates a DC voltage, not AC. PAT testing is the same procedure for computers, MOT test gear, Blood pressure monitors and so on.
Rearrange the following sentence : Barking, wrong tree, up, you’re and the. 😉

I think you’ve now told us where the fault lies then. 😉

I can’t figure it. How did you know that the main board was causing the fault? Have you changed it to confirm that was the case?

Motor issues. 🙁

Oh come now Harley, suggested retail price is a nonesense, they make it up, think of a figure then double it. It’s meaningless.

ParticipantRe: Siemens dishwasher not filling
Can you detail exactly what happens when you start the program? It should drain for the first 30 seconds then stop and fill. So can your hear the drain pump stop after 30 seconds or does it keep on draining?

No, they are retail, go check yourself. In fact I’ve tried 4 different parts and they all turned out cheaper on ASW.
Well I never…. 😮

Ah! That’s where you will have a problem. Asking your customer to register, download the app or whatever hoops they have first to jump through in order to pay some stranger in their house for sorting out the washing machine. I for one couldn’t be fagged to do that, cheque or credit card terminal or BACS at a push.

Not much point Harley TBH. The contract has been breached and subsequently closed due to low monthly spend. A normal business practice overall I think you will find. As for the 30 days, I’m sure in your case there will be a degree of flexibility there due to back orders, returns and monies outstanding. Qualtex’s approach on all this is pathetic in the extreme given todays financial climate. Exacerbated by their hoping you will continue trading with them via their on-line retail website. An insult especially that many account holders have been with them for decades.
Their retail Internet business may well be on the up. Well offsetting the shortfall in trade account closures. Less hastle, greater profit.

ParticipantRe: Qualtex Account Closure
Those unfortunate individuals whose accounts have been suspended, judging by the Qualtex T&C’s (clauses 2.2 – 2.4) they have stepped outside the ‘offer’ agreed upon. No doubt Qualtex gave these individuals sufficient notice (30 days) to comply themselves with the T&C’s.
