    Re: Matrix Dishwashers?

    haier chaps,
had a call last week to a Haier d/w machine 2-3years old spent one whole hour or more trying to get it out, normal thing new laminated floor fitted right up to kick board. After removing kick board (had worse)adjusted front feet up pulled d/w forwards and got it half way out and machine stopped, electrical cable was run under d/w between front and rear feet went to adjust rear feet up this was done from the front, a small 1/4″ bar runs from the front to a mechanism which moves the rear feet up and down good idea until the plastic cogs in the mech breaks what a job i had lay on my back sawing the metal feet to get it out
Also had one a few years back when a GAS pipe was run under the d/w between the front and rear feet!

    Re: P A T (Portable Appliance Testing)

    Hi Guys,
just did the course before xmas as i was going to offer this service but after get qualified city & guilds 2377 inspection and testing of electrical equipment which is the easy bit , the most inportant bit is the time it takes to do it and the equipment needed just dont have the time and can earn more repairing appliances and repairs are not boring , pat testing is ok if thats all you are doing but im sure you would soon get fed up of it. 🙂

    Re: Adjusting pressure switches

I’ve adjusted pressure switches before with no ill effects mostly on single or double level switches after cleaning out pressure chamber mostly on older candy dw unscrew to lower the level but if water has got in bin it
never had much luck with hvr triple level ones. i think philco sent out a memo to there agents telling them how to do this years ago maybe you can get an old copy if anyone has one .

Re: Part P Or Not To Part P

HI, had a email from dasa and they say it does NOT affect repairs to cookers but if you replace an existing cooker without rewiring and carry out a soundness test on that circuit then part p is satisfied but if you have to rewire or replace the circuit you have to be part p,
    😛 😛
