    Re: Hoover newwave E11 fault?

Sometimes get wierd faults thrown up on these due to motor arcing interfering with electronics. Usually caused by worn brushes, comutator or even had the brushes misaline due to the plastic brush ring melting!

Re: Bosch WAE24162GB/03 Auto – Tacho fault?

    Thanks for your reply Martin

Been back to this today – double checked wiring, did continuity readings from module – had motor off checked magnet – even tweeked the wipe on connections at the module incase it was an “indesit” connection 🙂 all seems ok though so suspect module.

Funny thing was when i first switched m/c on after been left 4 a couple of days worked ok for about 45 secs then started to play up again which is making me suspect something breaking down in module as magnet eliminated.

Do these modules come pre configured or do i need some cofiguring info?

Also looks like 2 moduled listed Conrol module & Power module – no picures so I asume it would be the power module required? control module must be the facia controls?

Any coments appreciated especially if you have had the module cause this fault.

    Thanks

Re: Bosch WAE24162GB/03 Auto – Tacho fault?

Suppose what i am trying to say is anyone had anything else cause this fault other than a broken wire on these machines?

    Anyone?

Re: Bosch WAE24162GB/03 Auto – Tacho fault?

    Thanks for the reply Martin

Did check at the module and make sure they were connected ok and not got disloged also shone torch along wiring as far as i could see it all looked intact.

Was pretty convinced it could have been wiring but couldn’t see anything. Did think about trying to make a clip and wire so I could short individual wires to earth to check continuity – either that or a long wire for my continuity tester 🙂

Even thought about cutting the wires by the securing clip and reconnecting them just incase but all seemed a bit drastic as usually I can find a broken wire by pulling the wire and the insulation streches like elastic where the break is. Also checked wiring at motor block to see if tacho wires had broken.

Machine only about 3 years old btw.

Re: AEG Lav6205W Auto – Disp Hose Fitting

    Done today

Removed Facia and rear facia panel – found easier to remove top of dispenser and place to one side as goose sugested. Once that is off you can access the insert that keeps the hose in the dispenser (which I found a pain to get out) remove the bottom half of dispenser which then allows easy access to the clip that holds the hose onto the tub.

Fitting the new hose it was then easy – just reverse proceedure.

Did remove the front panel as well but think it may have been possible to do without it’s removal or the facia thinking about it.

The most compicated dispenser hose I have ever fitted (took about an hour) but not to bad if I had to do again using the above method.

Thanks for he help and suggestions

Re: Panasonic MC-E540 Vac – Brush Roll

    Thanks Dave

Brush roll is ok but m/c not picking up as well as used to so was just going to do a service – belt brush roll and filters – not desperate – just seems stupid they made consumable parts obsolete afrter only 5 yrs.

Just would have been nice to replace worm parts with new.

Re: AEG Lav6205W Auto – Disp Hose Fitting

Thanks for the replies guys – not had to have facia or front panel off on these models before (to be honest not had to do many jobs on these models at all).

Presume facia and front panel straight forward then – no hidden screws or tabs then ? 😉

    Thanks

    Re: H/Point WD440P – Drier fan removal

    Thanks for the replies guys,

Did think it could have been a LH thread but wasn’t sure but did try it both ways but collet just seemed to go round in fan or fan shaft.. Did put some WD40 on b4 I left – with luck it might have soaked in and no prob.

Was just trying to pre-empt a problem in case the WD40 didn’t work!

Wonderful stuff WD40 and washing up liquid. The peps who invented them deserve an oscar.

Re: Hotpoint SDW60 no error code??

Had a similar fault on an Indesit m/c and was the crappy connections on the main board. Found this out after I had sent board away to EMW for testing and came back ok.

    Just a suggestion?

    Mick
