Try putting the knob to the “finish” setting, then knock the power off for a few minutes…then try again.. If this works then try a service wash to flush out the waste pipes etc. set at hottest wash with detergent, and without clothes

Yes, thats the fluff filter that you have removed, if thats clean then you need to remove the actual end of the waste water pipe from wherever it is attached, and see that there is a good flow of water coming from it during the pump out.. If that is clear then you may have a partial blockage in the waste pipe itself…if that all checks out then your final step is to remove the front of the machine and remove and clean out the pressure vessel…see how you get on with the other steps first…as to clean the vessel means removal of the front panel of the machine!

Obvios place to start looking is the removable fluff filter..check for any blockages ..
Also try it on a drain only cycle with the filter removed and look at the impellor and check for smooth running …

    Fingers well away!

Does it only run on after the main wash water has drained away? Or after every rinse cycle as well?

Sounds as though the carbon brushes of the motor are worn…power off and unplug machine, before checking!

Re: What the H? Extra (after-market) PCB found in Bosch WM?

Wasnt there a board available on the net sometime back…if you were renting machines out and the customer never paid up, you could simply drive to their homes and using a keyfob type remote it would cut the power to the machine?

Then customer would gave to pay up or else!

Re: Hoover hurricane light – Very loud and high pitched whin

    Hi stuart

The noise is more than likely coming from the brushroll, not difficult to get at really

Turn machine upside down, remove all the screws securing the black plastic surround of the brushroll, including the long part at one edge which covers the belt..

Remove brushroll and spin around with your hand to check for any noises
Off hand i cant rembee if the side caps are removable to get at the bearings, if not its a new brushroll needed. Whilst the brush is out you can turn the machine on and check that the sound is ot coming from the motor…if it is my advice is to bin it, as the cost of a new motor is almost as much as a new machine!

    Hope this helps

    Hi bryan

I have got as far as removing the top by taking all the rear screws from the top and aslo the four hidden screws revealed after removing the skid feet, then i noticed at the screws that seemed to be holding the magnatron were inside the oven itself around the wave guide covers…it was at this point i gave up!

I will follow your info and see how i get on with that!

    Thanks

    Re: Miele W3204: Gaining Access

Have just tried this method on a miele i have in for repair..seems to work

Plug in to a 24 hour timer as mentioned earlier.
Set time you require machine to come on ( allow around 2 hours ) depending on which programme is selected)

Switch timer on so that you have power to machine to allow setting of programme

    Press start button

Switch timer to the timed activation setting

When timer activates, machine will continue where it left off

All depends on if you are leaving the power to the sockets permanently on i guess

Let us know if it works

    Re: Generic Thermal Fuse?

I may be mistaken, but i believe these are not usually fitted with a thermal fuse.

I think its like the fuse that VAX seems to love fitting to their machines, its a glass type fuse which usually only blows if the motor is drawing to much current Its a glass tube of sorts… Only ever replaced 2 in the last 18 months though!
