    Re: Bosch half tub split

Yes you cut off all the clips, and the new kit usually comes with extra screws to hold it all nicely together, also make sure you replace the tub seal… Did one recently for a friend and had no leaks whatsoever…..

Though i believe there js a post on here somewhere regarding someone who used a load of steak knives to prise each clip open!!

Re: Indesit WIL153 Simply Stopped Working !

Switch off and unplug machine before doing any work!

Take off the top off the machine, and take a look at the connector where the mains lead enters the machine, you may find that this connector has overheated due to a bad connection..

Let us know how you get on

    Hi

Ive got to look at one of these machines tommorow, with the same fault as described.
I was just wondering if the interlock is easy to get at? and are these machines the welded cabinet type, where everything is only accesible from the front…

    Thanks

Power off before you attempt any work on the machine!

Re: Hoover HNL 6166 Washing Machine

Yes very easy to check these yourself, have a look at the rear of the machine, there may be a panel that unscrews and will give you access to both the belt and motor.

Check the belt is not overly stretched by pushing it inwards from one side you should be able to move it roughly a quarter of an inch or so, if its a lot more than this it needs repalacing

As for e motor brushes, you will need to remove the belt, pull out any connectors attached to the motor (taking note of which way they are fitted) then undo any bolts that are holding the motor on to the outer plastic drum..then its a matter of pulling the motor off its plastic mounting pegs..

Hold the motor firmly when trying to remove as it is a heavy item when it suddenly comes off its mounts..

When its free from the machine you can then remove the brushes from the motor and check for wear. When new brushes are around 3cm long anything less than 1cm they need changing

Open the drawer, then lift it slightly on the inner right hand side, then the inner part of the drawer should slide away from the front plate of the drawer..so actuaaly the front of the drawer remains on its swivel…

    Just a quick update

The mains lead fitted pefectly, as did the interlock without any modification
the brushes were also well and truly worn…
Fitted a new set and machine is as good as new

    Thanks again

Usually a PCB fault.. You need to check the motor direction relay 6K1 and alsomthe associated radial fuse…

If you want i can check/repair it for you… Done loads of them

    Re: Indesit WIA101

    Hi

I am going back to this machine on thursday to fit the new mains lead.
I have also ordered a new interlock as the old one is taking a long time to unlatch (there are no blockages in pressure vessel)

Have ordered this lock from connect

    https://connections.connect-distributio … RC00085194

It comes with a installation sheet, which advises you to cut off a tab and also reverse the plug 180 degrees

The new lock is marked as a metaflex and its white

Question is does this need the tab cut off and 189 degree reverse..
As it mentions that this is needed if its manufactured by “rold”

I assume its a “rold” as its white, but then again its made by Metaflex…

Can some kind soul confirm which connections are correct, as i dont want to blow the PCB

    Thanks
    Martin
