ParticipantRe: SIMPLE PCB REPAIR TIPS
LG washing machine, belt drive showing “SE” fault
The cause was traced to the Hall sensor on the back of the motor. The Hall sensor for the belt drive does not appear listed. Remove the single screw and the sensor assembly twists off the motor. Carefully remove the potting compound and remove the pcb.
Using a multimeter the resistance reading between VCC and SB,SC and SA should be similar. If not the check the surface mount components starting with links marked 000.
There are 3 resistors marked 331, and 5 capacitors coloured brown and 4 links marked 000. In my instance it was the link, marked with an arrow on the photo, open circuit. This was carefully linked out with a strand of wire and tested OK.
Re insert pcb into plastic holder and repot with a suitable insulation material.

I have never had to replace the dishwasher one, so check specification

The Bosch washing machine was heating intermittently, appeared to be stuck on wash and then would jump to 1 min display and stick there until switched off. Cold wash was no problem so heating circuit was suspected. After much testing I found that the heater control relay on the power module, tyco T7S VSE6-09-WG was intermittent. Renewed it and machine back to normal.
Relay is indicated with arrow.
Inspecting the old relay and dismantling, the relay contacts were badly burnt, looks like a weak spot.
The full thread of this appears elswhere in this site, but I thought it would be useful to post here as well.mvitorio

Managed to get this machine to the workshop, and found that the heater control relay on the power module, tyco T7S VSE6-09-WG was intermittent. Renewed it and machine back to normal.
Relay is indicated with arrow.
Inspecting the old relay and dismantling, the relay contacts were badly burnt, looks like a weak spot.
Hope my experience with this machine will help.mvitorio

Many thanks again, Martin. Will double check the connections again, but I am swayed to your view, just wanted to make sure I haven’t overlooked the obvious. Customer has just rung to say 90 wash has not gone through, so it looks like the inevitable.

Fitted new heater, and left customer to report back after use. It failed, as before, on first wash. I have asked her to do a 90 wash to see if that will go through, as it did previously. I am fearing it will be the programmer, either power module or operating module. Any suggestions in isolating cause of problem gratefully received. Many thanks in advance (‘:?’)

If it is a Maytag front loader the door can drop on the hinges and the door does not locate on the plunger of the door switch at the top of the door aperture. Readjustment of the hinges usually fixes it.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint stuck on tESt
Similar to previous posts, but I found tEST displaying, so had to press cancel button until the default programme showed, before I could use the two button method to get d Off, and the machine working as normal.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WMA34p manual
Check that the start switch on the pcb has not become detached, and the pcb is located securely so that it does not flex when the start button is pressed.

ParticipantRe: Diplomat ADP8322 not heating
For info, the problem was the main control board. Fitted new and has been working ok. Checking old board the 12v 16A black relay, bigger of the two relays, the contact was burnt so I assume this was the cause of it heating intermittently. Hope this helps.

ParticipantRe: Hoover HNL6136 – stop light flashing
An update in case anyone else has similar problem. The start switch on the p/b board had come completely off the board, and although it felt as if the switch mechanism was working, it wasn’t. Soldered switch back on and sorted door lock and machine a ok.

ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZWF1432W
Thanks for the reply. Sorry if confusing, but there was no error code showing up, either for the customer, or for me when I ran the diagnostic programme looking for a stored code, so the end LED did not flash to give an indication of a fault. When the machine locks up the phase/warning LEDs L27,L28and L30 stay lit, the start/pause button flashes and pressing any of the buttons has no effect, until the on/off. Which makes me think control board.
