    Re: Extreme customer action!

    I had that at Homecare…………….. 😮
Bloke locked me in over a fridge freezer, he went up stairs to call the office, whilst he was doing this, i took the glass out of his door (not by smashing either) as he had not long been broken into had not re-puttied the glass in so took all the sprig nails out and lifted out the pane.
My boss told me the bloke was amazed, I quote ‘The ba57ard has escaped’ 😆
Last one I rememeber, and made it to press, Customer had been let down by a certain contractor several times to have a facia panel fitted, by the time I got to it she was fuming, what made it worse was I didn’t have the part, she flipped, locked me in the utillity room.I tried Soooo hard to defuse the situation but she would not reason, it was all about her and what she wanted, so I went mad as I couldnt escape, she eventually let me out.
I felt bad in the end as I think it shook her up alot and I know she was frightened. 😳
I am happy to say I have done alot of growing up since then and calmed down.

Re: need help on a neff condenser drier. water tank light on

Microswitch on float, metering it can be innconclusive, they can also go the other way where they won’t work, the machine fills the tank then the base and ends up spraying water on the heater tripping the supply
Get damp and crap in them, play up intermitantly.
Sometimes a good idea to strip the machine, remove the motor, condenser etc and get yer hands in and scrape out all the crap.
Have a look under the pump too as this often gets fluff restricting flow, pumps rarely fail.

    Door Switch.
Uses microswitches inside a housing, play up all the time.
Strip it down and change the microswitches, that’ll sort it.

    Hi
It’ll be the NTC on the dryer duct, has two thin brown wires going to it, same NTC that is used on the heater for wash, so can swap them round to test the dryer.

    Assume its full size machine?……….
Sounds like the hose from the tank to the sump is blocked (usually black rubber type) then overfills and spills out of that little hole, usually locks out the safety valve too.
Should be an old Bosch SMS machine.
    Failing that, blocked tank.

You are right, sorry my bad.
I forgot, its the 1600 with the brushless motor, the board at the bottom is a module for the motor, and has a transformer which is an inverter so yes, it would be more likely to be in that than the operating module.
The motor module staggers the voltage and frequency
The motor is a frequency controled asynchronous motor.
    Hope this makes sense?

    Re: wfr3267gb/04 fd8308700251

Theres two boards in the front on the facia panel, One with display and the other is operating module, it will be on this operating module that the motor relays can be found, the motor plugs directly into this board using an edge connector, sometimes a bad connection can cause these to arc and destroy the track under the plug, of course once you have located the motor connection on the board you can work out the relays.
Believe it or not the digital pressure switch is called an analogue sensor 😕

    Re: wfr3267gb/04 fd8308700251

Without getting into the test programme its hard to say, could be a dry joint on the board, especially around the relays or proccesor fault as they were a bit iffy sometimes, no doubt it’ll re appear 😉
The sensor in the hose is a turbidity sensor and measures cloudiness like the ones on the dishwasher.
The two wires go into a module, i’ll find out for you, although i susspect its a suppressor, never had to chage one.
Some of these had a digital pressure switch, does it have small brown wires to it??

Has got to be a timed filling fault then, surely?
Valves on these are a pain, can work normally and then just go open circuit for no reason.
Still not convinced on timer fault though.

    Re: Bosch wfo285gb/01

Don’t think it’ll be down to the module, its always the motor, even had this with new motors when the brushes haven’t been seated in the factory, or another engineer has ‘borrowed’ brushes from the new motor and refitted another set at a later date, we can never usually tell as the new motors travell around from van to van daily.
White brush seater stick usually works a treat, then reduced spin for the first couple of washes.

Re: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?

Why do customers ask ‘Do you want a cup of tea?’ I reply ‘No’ to get them out of the kitchen and out of my way, then they carry on regardless to make themselves a cup of tea, boiling their rapid boil kettle so you can hear sod all of the applaince you came to fix, then they keep stepping over you to get this that and the other out of the various cupboards, why do it when I turn up, half the lazy bar stewards are home all day anyhow. 👿
Now this one,Bear in mind that I have been PAYE for 4 years and stopped advertising for work as soon as I finished being self employed.
I was tucked in bed, asleep.
    I had a phone call Sunday………………
    At 4.45AM!
    ‘Is the shop open?’
What? Have you got the wrong number?
‘That is …………. Domestic Appliance Services?’
It used to be 4 years ago.
‘Well I saw your workshop lights on and thought you might be working?’ 😯
Look mate its nearly 5 in the morning, what the f*** do you want?
‘My Mrs tumble dryer has broken and wanted you to fix it’
Let me tell you, even if I still worked for myself, and even if I was in the workshop at 5 I wouldn’t do it, what the hell possesed you to call now?
‘Last time you fixed it, you said any problems, call anytime, so you should be more carefull saying things like that!’
I told him he was a retard and hung up, only for him to call again saying I was rude and ‘No wonder I gave up my business’ as I wasnt flexible! And my emergency call out was a con!!!! 😯 👿
WTF goes through these peoples heads??
If someone was being flooded, power outage or such like we used to offer an emergeny service, we got called out twice, both elderly customers and both genuine. If I can remember who he is, i’ll go round his house and wake him up or knock him out!! 😆 😆
