What Nomadpaul says is quite correct, but added on to that is the rating on the rod stat is too low and a new version has replaced it with a higher temp under the same part number, you will need to enter service test to clear the error code but the stat must also be replaced otherwise the fault will reappear the next time the appliance is set to pyro.

Control module, common fault, all the new ones are potted, change the board and recode and it’ll be fine.

Overheat rod stat mounted in top element. Other than that check the door lock has parked correctly.

Customers not interupting the drying cycle? If the appliance fails to run the cool down because its been turned off the stat will trip because of residual high heat. Check the condensing valve as these are prone to failure.#

Could be the stat on top of the heater box, meter the side with 2 red wires going in, should be N/C, the other side is the NTC and the resistance will be variable depending on ambient, stat can be wiggled out without taking the tank off and is availiable as a spare.

Its got a flowmeter between the valve and soap dispenser, its probaly not picking up any impulses, it will beep after taking in the initial bit of water because it thinks the tap is closed but in truth its not, the display would be saying at this point ‘Tap Closed?’ these little things are crap, just bad luck that its gone I should think.

    Thats what I thought.
They are insistant that its going to be confined to Mexico, but, like you say, its a growth market and to loose global presence to a competitor is surely showing a sign of weakness? Especially when it would appear that the US market is so important to them.
    Strange. 😕
I shall keep you all up to date on developments as they happen.

    Re: BSH Group Redundancies?

For the UK it would appear to be for both reasons, Some engineers are not booking any calls, But, to some extent I think figuires are being manipulated, for example, some engineers are being left unproductive by admin giving their calls away to neighbouring engineers. Maybe thats just my opinion???
When solutions and ideas were asked for by management to avoid redunduncies it was a completely negative response, as if they’d already made up their minds.
BSH mexico has been sold off to Mabe and that is effective as 1st of July, That includes the respective factorys and distribution operation, Mabe will be selling Bosch branded appliances for a limited time. The final sale price hasnot been released, the operation in mexico was started in 1994 and employs 1,500 staff.

Specialist and time served engineers too.
So was their criteria for selection fair 😕
They,ve worked it out and I have heard their already drawing up a second list.
No more new vans either, swapping around to ‘Run them to the ground’
BSH mexico sold to Mabe appliances
Its really not good is it? 🙁
I just don’t understand it as their not exactly skint.

    Re: Siemens SE64A630GB/44

I thought that it may of been related to the diverter, unfortunatly they do tend to destroy the board and not easy to repair as its all surface mount stuff.
You will find if you dismantle the diverter that the seal has probably leaked into it causing the failure.
I usually find it ends up a write off due to cost 🙁
