    Re: Lamona dishwasher LM8602

Hi Folks, it turns out also to be a broken wire in the door, looks like because they are using very thing wiring they are susceptible to breakages (when will manufacturers learn not to penny pinch on materials). I actually found three wires that broke with the smallest of tugs. As I see it, the appliance was stuck in anti-flood mode the anti-flood micro switch is a three wire switch, so if the switch is open circuit on one pair of wires it goes into anti flood mode and if it is closed circuit on the other pair it does the same. I hope this helps others. Regards Neil

Just a heads up on this problem, I have come across a couple of NTC’s that have gone down to earth on Beko dryers and it has blown the module, so you replace the NTC and still no heat. Regards Neil

Re: Hoover DYN7164 Door not locking

Yes I agree sounds like the Main Control Board, to order one you will need the the serial number which is on the label on the inside of the door it will begin 3100********, this will give the variant and date of manufacture as there are different boards depending on date of manufacture. The control modules are around £50.00 less discount plus vat, so is a do able job. If you want, send me the serial number and I can give you definite prices. Regards Neil

Yes we were thinking along those lines as well, the appliance is only a couple of years old. We may just refer them back to Hotpoint 🙂 Neil

    Thanks,
looks more likely to be the Control Board as water valve shuts down when power is cut to it. Where did you access the tech info on this appliance?

    Hi Eldar,
Yes you were spot on, turns out our engineer did not get the new sensor crimped on properly. I personally prefer to solder them on and use heat shrink.
    Many Thanks

Did you ever get a resolution to this problem as we have got exactly the same problem and fitted a PCB but the problem still persists. Thanks Neil

Yes it is making loads of ice, A good theory BUT the ice dispenser does not open either and as far as I am aware that should open regardless of whether the ice dispenser motor is working. Plus I have put a meter on the the motor and there is no power to it when you operate the ice dispenser switch. Regards Neil
