Re: Hotpoint Mistral not the usual fault?

Sounds like you have a lack of refrigerant in the system or a compressor failure. Have you down a pressure test on the system ? The fans will not come on until the evaporator plate gets cold, this is to stop the fan blowing warm air onto the frozen food after going through a defrost cycle. Regards Neil

You would think so, I searched all over the appliance and could not locate it. It does not help when the customer is sitting on your shoulder. Regards Neil

    Re: Baumatic BFD63SS Dishwasher

First thing I checked, the only thing it actually does do is empty. that still does not account for why the display is not counting down. Also what tells the dishwasher it is empty, I presume that would be the pressure switch and I have checked that as it is a simple open circuit and closed circuit pressure switch I have even tried bypassing it and it makes no difference. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Best Regards Neil

    Re: rapport error 404

I am having exactly the same problem with error 404, I installed stock control yesterday to c:xampp I had the the xampp control panel 3.0.2 running and started apache and that is working fine on port 80, 443 but every time I put in local host (or the ip of this computer) I got the header but error 404.
Today I have installed the call handling over the top (because it installs to the same directory) When I type in localhost it goes to “http://localhost/chs/site/login” no problems, and I can log in and run the call handling no problems, When I type in localhost it goes to “http://localhost/chs/site/login” no problems. I have tried localhost/ims/install to see if the stock control is now working but I still get the same error HELP I am starting to lose the will to live I have been at this for hours now. Below is all I am getting, What Am I doing wrong

    Re: Panel stuck

Yes your are right some bright spark at Samsung decided to attach the defrost element directly to the evaporator, So really yes you have to degas, braze and regas. How silly is that. BUT the element is just pinched in place on the frame of the evaporator and you can lever it off and crimp it back on (I have done loads like this) otherwise it starts getting time consuming and expensive. The fan is attached to the back panel and has a problem of ice building up inside and not draining away. there is a mod which is a plate that attaches to the element and touches the aluminium tape on the fan drainage hole on the back panel. I just bend the element out so it makes better contact to the panel. this seems to work. The defrost drainage hole at the bottom or the fridge also has a habit of blocking up with ice even though there is a heater wire in there. if you try clearing this hole it takes a sharp left and if you are poking about in there mind the wire as it can get damaged.

    Re: Panel stuck

This is very common on these Fridge Freezers you normally have to take the whole rear panel off starting at the top where the light is, remove the center panel there are two screws holding the panel on, the light and sensor wires all unplug. there are also two screws behind the water bottle. you may not be able to remove the panel without defrosting as you end up breaking the foam insulation. do a continuity check on the thermal fuse and the defrost element and drainage element make sure you disconnect the two elements from the plug as they are piggy backed and will give you a false reading. If the defrost element is open circuit it comes complete with the evaporator assy, but if you are careful you can prise it off and fit it on to the old evaporator plate. ice build up is a none manufacturing fault and I have seen them ice up for no apparent reason even after they have been modified by Samsung. hope this helps Neil

    Re: Liebherr Fridge keeps freezing

Liebherr Fridge Freezers are prone to NTC failure causing the fridge to get too cold I would replace that first.

Re: Candy Aquaviva 130T drum bearing

Hi, no special tools are required, just hammer and punch to extract the bearings (if you do not have a puller). then hammer and correct size drift so not to damage bearings. not a hard job just time consuming. Strip down to check drum shaft before you start buying bearings and seals.
