ParticipantRe: Senor meile dyer
Looks like element relays are switched in series with neutral relay as they all have a thin live going to back relay legs. This makes me think the neutral relay isn’t switching.

Having same issue.
Ele box sensor room temperature is 138kohms.
Under door sensor is reading 13kohms.
No neutral being switched from relay board…

this resistor feeds the mains into a rectifier and the dc voltage at about 325v appears on the big capacitor. This voltage is then used by the 7 leg chip (TYN264) to lower the voltage for the module to 12v or what ever . If this resistor has blown I would suggest the TNY chip has also
lots more examples of this failure in the sticky at the top of this forumDave
Thanks for the reply Dave.
Do you mean the ‘simple pcb repairs’ thread? I just scouted through it and didnt see anything similar? Maybe you mean another sticky?
Cheers.

my be a silly fault. there are a set of brushes running on the drum to sense moisture
there also may be no heat at all. most have a relay board to switch elements and I have had them go
there is also overheat stats on element
Dave
Thanks for the heads up.
I’ll let you know how I get on!

Just wanted to tidy this thread up for others whom might search it.
New element cured it.

Managed to sort the dryers out. They just needed new elements.
Weirdly, the dryers drum had somehow managed to get the wrong side of the bearing pad! That seems completely impossible imo – there is very little play and i just dont see how it could happen.
They are a great mavhine to work on though, very well designed for us engineers.
Cheers all.

That’s the user manual, it might help.

Thanks for your time Dave, you’ve been a great help.
The oFLo error turned out to be a foreign object blocking the pump impeller. Shame the machine doesn’t have a syphon tube. Removing the old water isn’t easy if you want to catch most of it. Of course the inner section of the filter stuck! I was able to place a small bowl and prize it open enough to gently drain the stinking stale water.
Anyway, the dryer elements (not sure I mentioned it, but the customer also has dryers that are not heating) slide out so easily it’s as if someone put some thought in to how they are assembled… unbelievable:D
Cheers

Wow! What a fantastic resource. Thanks for the swift reply.Stated error ‘oFLo’ is: “Overflow TEST – All water and dispenser valves are turned on. When the overflow level is reached the water valves are turned off. If the START (enter) key is pressed and the Water Fill level is not satisfied, the control will not advance to the next cycle step.”
That should be enough to get me started. Imagine it’s filled without emptying…

Also get this; the sump hose has a chamber on it which clogs up BEFORE IT GETS TO THE FILTER!!!!
What a clever way to ruin the bearings.

What a poor quality tool.

In the blink of an eye if I had turned that out…
£15 + VAT. Daylight robbery.Just what i needed to hear! Got one on order AND its even more expensive.
To add insult to injury, attempting to remove them – unenlightened! – virtually took out my needle nosed pliers. More cost!
Also, isn’t this a scam? Designing it so independents have to buy a special tool from them.
Thanks for the part number 😀
