Please, did we ever find a cure for this fault?
I have one doing the same thing, only its a Neue (same difference)

OK, so a new pressure switch unit has made zero difference 🙁

Is it a washer dryer?
Have had very strange faults occur when the drying element leaks down to Earth. It causes the pub to do all sorts of odd stuff.

I would presume so. I worked on the machine with the isolation switch off. Of course I test for any voltage.
Would it having its own circuit affect the Earth test? I can’t see how it could.

Possibly a faulty element once it gets hot?
Can you sit with it until it trips?… then test Earth leaks promptly…

Thanks again for the tip.
I remember now having similar issues on zannussi drying elements = same thing!
Oh, and I stood the loss. Sigh.

THIS!!!
Yes, indeed there was an Earth leak on drying element. Disconnecting instantly rectified the problem.
Thank you very much.
BTW – This customer NEVER uses the drying function. I guess this means the drying element never gets a chance to dry itself of condensation.
Cheers

Yes, now both the old module and the new module are suffering the same problem.
I have the old module here. Indetified by inspecting the plastic tabs which hold the wire terminals in place (One if them was ridiculously tight and duly damaged upon removal), so, I know I definately did fit the new module!
The module has a set of small yellow wires which link the LCD display to the main pcb. These are indeed a part of the new module and are already in place. I wouldn’t have touched them on the new module fitted.
I just find it strange that by tapping the front facia (inbetween the selection knob and LCD display) it suddenly decided to work, and when it did work – I eventually selected a spin – the machine started the program no fuss.
It reeks of some sort of loose connection in that area. Unless something else on the machine is corrupting the module and duly causing the fault.
So, sometimes turning the knob makes the LCD do absolutely nothing. Other times it will cause the LCD screen to backlight Orange, and very occassionally it will be fine, Backlit Orange with Black LCD writting…
Hmmm.

Yes, it does. I remember peeling the protective film off of the new module.

Obviously LED means LCD!!!

On machines where the top spray arm is fed via a tube on the Inside of the washing chamber, you can look and see it blocked.

Don’t want to speak to soon, but, replacing the flowmeter seems to have cured my fault. Cheers

Bumping this thread…
Did you find a solution, I have one the same. Well, it’s actually intermitten, which makes matters worse.
Am thinking flow meter or, as it’s 12 years old, broken wires in door?

ParticipantRe: Bosch dishwasher E24
Indeed, opening the door whilst the module is checking the heat pump is enough to cure the E24.
So, upon starting program. Empty pump has ramped up, then Brief silence followed by heat pump ramping up. Interrupting the door whilst the heat pump is working cures the fault.
Can I suspect that as Interrupting the program whilst the module is checking the heatpump means the heat pump is at fault? That’s what my logic dictates…
Cheers for all the help all.

Martin wrote:As you probably know E24 refers to a drain pump issue. But it could also mean the drain valve is partially open or worse still the actual heat pump is running slow.
Have you actually changed the drain pump out of interest?
No, I haven’t changed the empty pump as it appears to work perfectly.
On first visit, out of curiosity, I attempted to run a program with the reed flow meter (RFM) disconnected. The machine started filling! I cancelled that program and the machine emptied perfectly. I connected the RFM, attempted the program, and got E24 again!
The RFM meter was a perfect circuit: 0.00 Ohms. Which means its faulty.
Just prior to displaying the E24 fault (this is about 5 minutes into the quick wash cycle, after the empty pump has finished) it briefly runs the heat pump. I can hear that unmistakable sound of it gurgling. There is never any attempt to fill.
Going to return Monday.
