How do these people always manage to pay for extended warranties too? Funny when you go in and they say “Sorry about the mess we’re decorating” Then you go back a year later and it looks just the same and they say the same thing!!

Agree with the family and friends bit! Don’t you find if it’s someone you know even the simplest job is a pig? Last one for me was next doors hotpoint, no spin. “i’ll pop know mate” Brushes gone…. oh… motor gone “i’ll get you a second hand one from shop tomoz”….. fit motor……..timer gone too! We just say to people we have a fixed labour charge which you pay if you have the repair done or not, We’re now of making a small charge (£5) to cover fuel cost when people “just popped out for a second” “i was in the shower” “I was hoovering upstairs” “i know your calls go from 12 til 1 but i didn’t think he’d be there at ten past twelve” and missed the call, They’re mostly quite willing to pay this.

We always change timer and board together to stop this as boards seem to fail again now and again if you don’t. Don’t know why this happens though. Has anyone else found this?Nige
