The model number will start either ADP, APL or AHY followed by some numbers. We do need to know I’m afraid as this brand covers a few different manufacturers.

From what you say it sounds like you might have a blockage in the side chamber (some people call this the fill matrix). This is not really a DIY job to repair as it involves opening up the cabinet (Repairs@ should get you a local professional) but if you can get us that model number we might have a better idea what we’re looking at.

    Good call Martin.

We could be doing with a few new pictures to freshen up some of the picture galleries, so send ’em in if you’ve got any good ‘uns.

Unfortunately r600a photos are unlikely to be posted so please don’t anyone go getting their hopes up!

    Rozzer

There’s a stat inside the door next to the dispenser. This has probably been shaken loose when the door was forced.

I would recommend calling in a pro from Repairs@ if you’re not sure how to safely go about handling this.

If you’re going for a go yourself then power off please :zap: and watch out for the door skin; it’s razor sharp once it gets opened up and loss of blood is all but guarranteed for the unwary.

Is it a tool roll you’re after?

Here’s an example of what I mean:

I think he means everyone on Repairs@ chips in towards the cost of advertising Repairs@, such as in Yell.com

How long is this fan running for after you finish cooking?

The cooling fan will continue to operate after cooking has finished for anything up to 1/2 an hour or more depending on temperaature reached & conditions (such as air flow around the oven).

    This is a Smeg appliance.

E8 is supposed to mean that the alternating valve is not operating properly but it bascally means tht something daft has happened & the machine isn’t sure.

First things to check are the connections to the pump and timer.

If they’re fine then have a look at the motor to see if it’s seized or fried.

After that it’s probably a goosed timer.

    Andy

We would need to know the model number to identify this oven. Hygena is a brand name that covers several manufacturers. The model number can be found on the rating plate (usually on the door surround) and should be in the format APL**** AHY**** or ADP****
