First time failure Diplomat parts should be returned to Extracare in Norwich. Contact MFI on 0845 7959 722 to find out how best to do this.

Unfortunately we cannot supply you with the service manual as this would be an infringement of copyright. Any trade member supplying technical information to a member of the public is likely to be hit pretty hard by the manufacturers if they get caught.

This is not a solution; it just (sometimes) gets the machine up & running again by releasing the anti-flood switch.

The cause of the flood still needs to be identified. This can be one of a number of things; internal leak’ blockage, overfoaming caused by incorrect, rinse aid dosage, obstruction of spray arms, PCB failure or motor failure to name a few.

Also, the longer the machine is sitting there flooded the more chance there is that internal components such as the motor will become damaged (you’ll know this happens when you turn your dishwasher on and your lights go out).

Those wanting to have a go themselves please remember to pull the plug first :plug: otherwise it may be time to call in a pro (Repairs@)

GG 1000DL isn’t a Diplomat model number. All their range cookers are in the format ADP or APL followed by four numbers.

Diplomat is a brand name; the actual manufacturer varies depending on the model.

The model number should be on the rating plate located on the inner frame of the door. It will be in the format APL**** AHY**** or ADP**** where * represents a number

If you give MFI a call on 0845 7959722 they will (for a samll fee) send you a new instruction manual for this machine.

There is a procedure for programming the machine to recognise your water hardness (and therefore use the correct salt dosage) which is explained in the manual.

These are in very short supply. If you need one be prepared to play the waiting game.

I think it’s through PABL, maybe a Fagor.

We’ve seen a fair few with failed PCBs.

Try Anglo Iberian 01245 320992 for spares.

To briefly venture back on-topic; I seem to recall a fairly recent post with this sort of material in it. Or it may have been a wee while ago – my sense of the passing of time isn’t all that great! I’m sure someone could dig it up and link it from here if they stumble across it. I’ve had a (admittedly very) brief look myself but didn’t find it.

Could be one of many things, to be honest. There’s a fair chance there’s a broken wire in the harness if there has been installation issues (bad builder?) and the machine has been subject to particularly bad vibration.

If you do fancy having a look yourself the pull the plug first please :zap: but I would recommend calling in a local pro (Repairs@) to have it properly checked out.
