Re: Functional Test of Brush Motor

Lack of motor action under load is a classic sign of armature failure.

All obsolete now, I’m afraid Harry. If you put “4638” into the Search facility on the site, I’m sure there was one being offered for parts a month or so back.

    Good luck,

Yup, hose from metering tank to sump clagged up. Model number likely to found on small label at about 1 o’clock on casing surrounding door.

    Re: Indesit IDL700 Wont drain!!

Almost certainly a blockage or pump failure. The drain pump’s underneath but be warned, this is a singularly awkward machine to work on.

If you’re not confident, click the link below; otherwise power off if investigating further.

Is there a pattern to the flashing light; ie 1-2-3 pause, or is it flashing steadily?

    Re: Condenser Tumble Dryers

There are no domestic dryers in production using heat pump technology, although the link above does outline some of the research being carried out.

    Re: Cheap Fuel?

If you want our grandchildren to have reliable constant power in 50 years time, now is the time to be investing in and developing the advancement of nuclear power. Why are we scared of it? It is after all, the reason that we are all alive today, I believe we call it the Sun. With proper development I can see no reason not to persue it.

Steam’s great if you live in Iceland – unlimited free steam from the vulcanicity, but let’s face it, it’s pretty rare. Fred’s steamers are only 5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} efficient, so that’s really a bit of a dead end.

I love this site – you put up an information post for the benefit of the other members and finish up with a debate about saving the planet. One day we’ll run a thread that stays on topic. Maybe.

Anti-flood switch supplies power direct to the pump, bypassing the electronics. Therefore…. Electronics.

Er, the pulley bolt is the least of your problems….. It is a rh thread BTW. You do realise that the entire tank assembly must be removed and split to allow you to fit the bearings and seal, and that you will need a tub half gasket as well?

    Good luck,

    Re: Miele fridges?

Freestanding Miele refrigeration is excellent quality.

A freestanding freezer will be fine in a conservatory – it’s combi fridge/freezers which are particularly sensitive to wide temperature variations. Still bet if doesn’t get too cold……..
