Re: WM52 Door would not open

Before this turns into a row –

    1) The machine in question is fitted with a filter, which is not directly user accessible.
    2) This machine is fitted with a straightforward delay lock. Water being retained in the drum will not affect the operation of the lock.
    3) The door may not open because of the lock failing in a locked position; it may equally well be the latch plate breaking away from the inside of the door.

Replacement dispenser complete is p/no 263088, about £32 +VAT etc. Alternatively, check http://www.bshappliancecare.com and follow links into Partfinder, the individual dispenser components can be identified and sourced there.

Re: F&P Smart Drive 051 won’t fill cold water

Tricky one. The cold valve is a “proportional” flow valve. If it works on rinse there is obviously a circuit through it, but it remains the prime suspect. It’s (apparently) a cheap part, so that’s the place to start. It is possible that the computer board is not able to control the valve, but this is unusual.

In theory, yes. We have all the parts – what you have to do is diagnose the fault.

    1) Thermistor failure
    2) Wiring fault
    3) Heater fault
    4) Computer fault

Buying bits can be an expensive way to solve a problem. If you ain’t geared up for it, please get pro help. These are a particularly awkward machine to work on, and as you will probably have realise by now, not very popular in the trade.

We cannot give you exact instructions – you have to work this out or get pro help. Check Repairs@ or Directories if you’re not dure how to proceed.

Power off if you are investigating further. :plug:

When you start the machine, the start light should be pulsing evenly. When the programme is accepted, there should be a quick flicker and the light should become steady. If a fault is detected, the selector dial should start to rotate. At the same time, the light will flicker in a pattern, ie 1-2-3-4 pause, repeat.

    Re: Ariston FM87C Manual

There was a link posted in “Lost Your Instruction Manual”, but it is no longer functional. This:

    https://www.hotpointservice.co.uk/Service/inst.html

looks like as near as we’re going to get.

Your appliance is not specifically listed, but there is an order form option.

Replacement safety thermostats are p/no 09090309, supplied as a pair. An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for confirmed prices and ordering.

However…… this will cure the sympton, not the cause. You must establish why it has tripped. Normally this is to do with insufficient airflow through the top duct. The fan may be choked with lint, as may the condenser housing and its associated hoses. People opening the door before the end “to see how they’re doing” is also guaranteed to do it. Airflow stops, temperature soars, pop.

Power off of course before further investigations.

This is the one you want:

As you can see, it’s a twist fit and you need to access from underneath. Power off, of course :plug:

We can’t tell you exactly how to repair your appliance. You need to have and be able to use safely an electrical test meter, otherwise you’re on a hiding to nothing with this one – unless you catch lucky and spot the broken wire.

Do nothing without unplugging the appliance first. :plug:

    Re: smeg dwi612c dishwasher

It’s not a recognised error code. If the reset procedure has not worked you will almost certainly be looking at a computer board failure. As these are horribly expensive you would be advised to get this checked professionallly before making an expensive mistake.

Check Repairs@ or Directories for a UKW repairer in your area.

I have deleted the duplicate post, once is enough.
