You might be in trouble here – this is not a European spec machine, so can’t find any reference to it……
What is the actual problem, as apart from hanging the decor door, installation is generally pretty straightforward?

The timer will stop in the programme until wash temperature is achieved, so no heat is the most likely culprit.
Possible causes are element failure, or safety thermostat tripped due to underfilling.
These are a particularly awkward machine to work on, so if you are not confident I would suggest some Professional help. Check in Directories or Repairs@ (Red Toolbox) for a UKW engineer in your area.
Power off please if you are going to investigate further……….. :plug:

ParticipantRe: GW603 Diagnostic Codes needed
Kerry,
From the diagnostic mode, we need the lights lit on the wash progress panel. They are assigned a binary value from right to left; spin=1, then 2, rinse=4, short wash=8 etc. Add up the value of the ones which are lit and we can work it out from there.Regards,

It’s the door handle Pat and it’s coming up as obsolete…..
If DaveConway can’t source one, it may well be worth giving ASD Services a ring on 0113 3936688 – they’re pretty good on old stock.

Anyway, with regards to the Topic in hand……
Several weeks ago I went a Zanussi, where, amongst the general fixing that occured I noted that the fill hoses were reversed. Fitted them the correct way round, advised the customer and left it at that. A week later she rang up to complain that the machine now took 14 minutes longer to complete the 40c cycle!
I love customers.

Er, being of a Penguinish persuasion, I get a bit worried when I see seals…….

Original door bottom seal is a supeceded number; which speaks volumes……… New p/no is 1527401-00/1.

ParticipantRe: very slow cycles on a zanussi FLA 1002w
The approximate running times for each programme are listed in the user manual – the 40c Cotton wash should run for about 105 mins.

Go onto a forum. Then go into Profile, it should up load from there, providing it’s not too big.

Wouldn’t have thought so Paul…… Usual process of elemination I suspect. Check for a re-set stat though – had a few problems with them because of water levels…….

ParticipantRe: Nonsense
Just a small thought (having splatted another one) – the only reason we’re staying on top of this is because of the scrolling XML, otherwise the lower down, unused posts would be filling up with this crap and we’d never know.

Hi Paul,
Washing without powder, even with heat, ain’t going to clean the pots. Has the customer opened the door to check in the cycle? Bet she hasn’t…. The number of people who associate heat with cleaning is amazing – you’re probably on the right lines withe the soap box!Cheers,

Still a few coming in I’m afraid. They now say things like
“Holdem !”
and
“! Draw”So if nothing else they look ridiculous.
