It’s taking too long to drain. Check filter (usually under the kick board at the front), also sink coupling if not emptying into stand pipe.

    Evren,
Please don’t take this the wrong way, but your machine is on the way out. The noise on your machine is caused by the failure of the front bearing and its water seal. This is not accessible without demolishing the machine; lubricating the rear bearing (under the pulley) will do no good at all.

The lack of motor action may be down to the brushes, or to a myriad of other possible causes – timer, electronics, heater circuit etc.

I would seriously recommend giving up at this point – a brush set will be £20-£25 and there are no guarantees that your problems will be solved.

    Time for a new one.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.

It’s related to drain problems Miguel – the machine has not drained – or it thinks it hasn’t drained. You need to check the pump operation and the water level control system. If you can’t do this safely, please get professional help.

Do nothing without pulling the plug first. :plug:

    Nigel,
Part no. is 55×5379, £58 and some pence through Comet spares and Vat and p+p. This is a Brandt appliance, so if you can hang fire until Dave Conway is back on line, he may be able to get it direct at a rather more reasonable price.

Re: SARENA Dishwasher (who makes them?)

Not a name I am familiar with, I have to confess. The built-in appliance market is an absolute nightmare. There is a huge amount of “badging” going on, with machines ranging from excellent to awful.

If your kitchen supplier cannot tell you who the actual manufacturer is, I would suggest specifiying you own – NEFF is expensive but excellent, as you would expect from Bosch; CDA is building a reputation for decent quality, mid-range appliances. If they tell you Haier – say NO!

Report back after the conversation and no doubt we shall be able to tell you more!

    Re: Teba Hotplate part needed

    Ted,
It sounds like you need an energy regulator. If you are in the US, I would suggest contacting http://www.repair2000.com who are doing something similar to us. They should be able to source generic parts for the regulator and the hotplates. The control knob is probably unique to TEBA – it may be the same as a UK/European model; however as you guys run on 110v and we’re on 230v we are unlikely to be able to directly cross refer to the models we are used to.

A piccie might help – post it to admin@ukwhitegoods.com and who knows? One of the other engineers on site may well recognise it!

    Regrads,
    Penguin45.

She’s done it again – I only went to the loo….

This was semi-liquid gungy soap set into a Bosch drain hose. I got it clear in the end, but as Julia said……….

Not to mention all over me as well. Finished up looking like a negative ofa Dalmation.

The stupid point is that somebody actually diposed of a perfectly tidy, modern Bosch automatic for the drain hose being blocked. So much for our greener-make-it-last-longer society.

Alexis, the entire machine must be demolished, tank removed and split, two bearings and oil seal and tank gasket all replaced. The shaft also needs close inspection for damage and may well also need replacement.

You can do it if you have plenty of time, patience and space, but trust me, it is a complete swine of a job.

    Good luck,

    Re: Ariston Margherita A1535

It’s to do with water level control Bob. The air chamber under the machine may be clogged and trapping air or the level switch in the top may be faulty.
