Florida was GSF341S/WSFLORIDA I think. Don’t Whirlpool call the tub bung a “threaded cap”?

If Dave can find a part number I’m sure he’ll get it for you, although Whirlpool Service in Czech Republic might be a quicker option.

Re: Bomberg oven – replacing grill element

    Ruth,
The odds on anyone having the wiring diagram for this appliance are virtually nil. Comet will have, but they won’t tell you.

All you can do is to put the back on and try it. The two yellows will be the neutral side, so the green and black will be the live feeds. One of three things can happen – you’ll get the outer element instead of the grill and vice versa, so a wiring reversal with the power off will solve it. Secondly, it’ll be spot on. Thirdly the breaker will trip, in which case it’s multimeter time – get pro help!

    Next time – diagram first.

BTW, was there no separate earth to this element? You have only mentioned four wires.

    Good luck,
    Penguin45.

Not the world’s greatest I’m afraid E+P. By “switching something on the bottom” is this the switch on the polystyrene float?

If so, it implies that the machine thinks it’s overfilling, or already full. The other possibility is control failure, which probably is not a cost effective repair.

Please cut the power before sticking fingers in the machine – it is downright dangerous.

I think that Imperial was a brandname used by Miele – contacting them might be your best bet.

    Right, you ‘orrible lot…

The proper link is – http://www.yetisports.org

Wherein you will find Pengiuns being tortured in innumerable ways. The club game now has “flight controls” to extend flying time.
Personally, I like the golf game. Whack Nigel (some sort of 2nd cousin – got told it was a showbiz gig by his agent 🙄 ) into the giraffes mouth and see what happens!

    Enjoy,
    Chris.

Re: hoover new wave tumble dryer

Yup, better be serious for a mo. This dryer is fitted with the infamous PCT thermostat device, which is supposed to be a resetting safety device on the heater plate. After a while, it doesn’t. It’s p/no 09079112, about £7 plus the VAT. The other regular failure was the heater spirals, p/no 09079096, about £13 plus vat. The machines vibration did them in, in the end.

A fair amount of disassembly is involved to check either of these – if you’re not confident, get help. Check Repairs@ or the Directories section for a UKW engineer in your area – as parts for these machine are cheap you may be pleasantly surprised!

If you are going to investigate yourself, pull the plug first :plug: .

Is it better than that awful Qualcat one that went round a few years back?

Look round the back of the dryer, near floor level and there should be a label with the numbers on “D—” for instance. Some of the later ones put the numbers around the door opening.

If you can find that, I’m sure Martin will be able to help you out in the morning. He is, after all, a little older than most of us on the site. 😆

Re: White Knight Cond. T/Drier WK797

True – these do seem to work better with a full load. If removing the paddles to clean, you need to get the metal strips off the paddles and the springs underneath – they all get clagged with fluff, which affects the resistivity circuit.

    Cheers,
    Chris.

8 different variants on this one – please post up the “pnc” number as well. This will give the fridge lads a better chance of helping you.

Re: Bosh WFF 147S Spin Problems

Two possibilities spring to mind Simon.

    1) Water level control system sludged up. This is a white plastic chamber at the 6 o’clock position on the rear of the tub. Remove and clean it and the rubber mounting grommet.

    2) Carbon motor brushes worn/sticking in their holders. These are Bosch p/no 154740.

Either of these would give the symptons you describe. Do nothing to investigate without pulling the plug first. :plug:
