Andy,
£16, now? A friend of mine was doing E. Yorks coast calls franchise for Whirlpool 15 years ago for £15/completed and couldn’t make it pay then. How can it possibly pay now?I’m a sole trader and it costs me £20some to ring somebody’s door bell, so that has to be daft. Why on earth did you take it on?
Chris.

ParticipantIndesit do a WD12S (silver) or UK (white).
Door catch kit white is C00075323 and may be found in the Shop@ part of UKW.
Door catch kit silver is C00075323 and can be ordered on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk as it is not a regular stock line. Yet……….Regards,

ParticipantRe: Diplomat ADP 8234 – will not startup!
Do you have a test meter? If you have, with the power off, you will be able to test the function of the door switch. If you haven’t, your only realistic option is to seek professional help. I assume from the posts so far that your appliance accepts the programme – it needs the door switch to activate to say “Go” to the computer board. Otherwise you are looking at a board fault – the computer is not recognising that the door is closed.
Check Repairs@ or Directories for a UKW repairer in your area.
If you wish to carry on – pull the plug first. :plug:

ParticipantRe: Indesit WE16 – F01 blues
The carbon brushes may be sticking in their holders; there may be a poor/intermittent contact somewhere in the motor circuit; if your drive motor is a SOLE brand motor the tacho magnet may be loose, the motor may be getting damp from the innumerable leaks that occur on these appliances – or the computer board may just be as mad as a hatter.
If you are unable to check out these potential faults technically or safely, please get some professional assistance.
Check out Repairs@ or Directories for a UKW engineer in your area.
Do nothing yourself without pulling the plug first :plug: .

ParticipantDon’t think this one was ever resolved. Any chance of dropping a piccie by email to Dave Conway? He is a bit of a genius at this sort of thing………

ParticipantCheck around the edge of the door Sue, also top of the cavity – there’ll be a label somewhere.
Problem is Firenzi is not a manufacturer; the appliance will be bought in and “badged” – we will need to work out which one you’ve got before we can offer any real advice.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool AWZ650 BLOWING COLD
It is entirely possible that the thermostats have failed, it is equally possible that the heater itself has failed. Rather than taking the chance of wasting your money, you should test these components (or have them tested). The thermostats should read very near to 0 ohms, the heater 20-30 ohms when split from the electrical circuit.

ParticipantRe: Smeg itegrated dishwasher
Hi Colin,
The lights point to the famous E6 fault. Simply put, the machine is not draining within the specifed time allowed by the computer. So…….. blockage, kinked drain hose, choked sink coupling or the water level sytem is blocked, causing the computer to think it’s full when it’s not.Do nothing without oulling the plug first…..
