    Jimbo,
Your good lady has no doubt got the oven cavity spotlessly clean, but there is probably a build up of crud behind the rear panel where the fan element is lurking. With the oven cold and the power off the panel can be unscrewed for further cleaning.

    Colin,
Going from the left, please detail which 2 leds are lit. The combination tells us a code to indicate where the fault may lie. Don’t panic about replacing PCB. Yet, anyway.

The thermostat kit is p/no. 1701583, in Shop@ at £12.00.

However, if you are unable to make the diagnosis best get some pro help – check Repairs@ or Directories for a UKW repairer in your area.

If you are going to take the back off, pull the plug first. :plug:

Re: indesit wg1130 TG not draining

Do you mean it’s filling on it’s own? If so, check for backfilling from the sink if that is where the drain pipe is connected and for leaky water inlet valves.

Pull the plug first if you’re going to look at the valves. :plug:

Keep doing it – it’ll clear eventually. It is reluctant to drain because the bleach is turning the water to froth………

Next time you want to clean it, use lots of lemon juice. Bleach is good for doing autowashers on the boilwash.

Re: Hygena APL 8224 doesn’t heat up

This is a Brandt made dishwasher, so the most likely culprit is the safety thermostat has tripped.

There are problems with this. Firstly, the reset is inaccessible, secondly it will have tripped due to the machine underfilling. This is a very awkward one to sort out – I would seriously recommend getting some professional help. Check in Directories or Repairs@ for a UKW repairer in your area.

If you’re going to have a go yourself, pull the plug first. :plug:

    Cedric,
Check out http://www.bsonline.techindex.co.uk – it’s all in there. Somewhere.

If the cooling fan were running you would normally feel a draught across the bottom edge of the control panel/top of the door.

Hope that’s a bit of help,

    Kris,
Can’t get 62300 to come up on any of my systems. I can find a 6200, a 62600 and a 623D. Is this a UK machine? If you could find the PNC or ENr number it may help.

General advice with heater is that it should read 20-30 ohms when disconnected from the wires. Do this with the power off! There should be no earth leakage. Most AEG machines use a relay to switch the heater on and off. On older ones this was a separate unit, late machines have it as part of the control board. You could check for dry/burnt solder joints there.

If you’re not confident, get professional help!

Two possible causes on these machines for your symptons.

Firstly, the machine may well be underfilling. This can cause the pressure sensor on the heater box not to be activated, so no heat. This is normally caused by a transfer hose in the front right of the machine silting up.

Secondly, a dry joint at the heater relay on the digiboard is a common occurence.

Other possibilities are heater failure, broken/damaged wiring in the door or temperature sensor failure – these are uncommon faults on this range.

If you’re going to have a peek, pull the plug first.

Are they going to re-label these as Chevrolets as well? 😆
