    REG30001 – Regulator
    MAN300016 – Knob (Black)
    MAN300015 – Knob (White)

Remove the entire bottom panel – regulators are in an internal box, release that and pull the whole lot out from underneath.

From that well known manufacturer Kosmo.

He’s being a t!t – original reply was complete obllocks, now that he’s edited it, there’s a reply from me which doesn’t make sense in the context of the thread; he’s tossed in ISE AND called me Chris in a Public Forum.

I don’t think I like him at the moment.

PCB runs everything… Easy check is to make sure that the door latch mechanism is working properly – if it or it’s microswitch is jammed in the closed position it won’t light up or programme.

Entirely possible that the pcb has died as these machines are notoriously prone to corruption issues – article to be found HERE. That being the case, you’ll be looking at £120-130 for a pcb plus whatever caused the issue in the first place.

Yup, it’s come up before and no definitive meaning was ever agreed upon.

Double element for heating circuit – check resistance of both.

    Power off first, of course.

Re: Whirlpool AWM323 leaking when machine is on…

Standard leak on these was from the corner of the soap drawer – tracks down the front and round the door recess, giving the impression of a door sealing leak.

Remove and thoroughly clean soap drawer and box, es[ecially the roof section. Remove the green plastic insert in the front of the drawer as well.

    Try that and report back.

Cleaning in situ with an old toothbrush and very hot water will often do the trick. If it has to come out, it’s a twist fit from underneath – third of a turn and pull.

    Re: Benk

This is not how “Own branding” works. The badge owner will buy appliances according to specification and quality from any number of manufacturers throughout Europe and now the Far East and have their name put on them.

Therefore, whilst a Benk and Baumatic oven may appear identical, the one will not be sourced from the other, but from the original manufacturer. The classic example of this is the Haier slimline dishwasher – same box with detail trim variations but bought by just about every badge owner in Europe under a myriad of different names. They are even out there with Hoover, Candy and Indesit badges on.

The trick for the repairers is to work out the most sensible supply route for the spare parts. Often, the OEM may have representation in their own right and buying spares that way is easiest. Some obscure OEMs may have no UK representation at all and you are tied to the badge owner and whatever they choose to charge for their parts.

Quality is of course infinitely variable depending on the specification required. The Haier dishwashers are plain awful, yet SMEG, Whirlpool, Electrolux and even Bosch play the badging game with far better results.

In the end, it still comes down to what you are prepared to pay for, becayse that’s exactly what you’ll get.

No drain detected in the time allowed. If iot doesn’t drain, find the blockage. If it does drain, thoroughly clean the level switch – black grid in the sump moulding.

Power off before removing any panel.
