    021885 – fan. It’s all there, about a tenner.

Brushes are the starting point – you’ll need a 5.5mm socket.

Burnt-out relay solder joint on pcb will give exactly those symptoms.

It’s a Whirlpool, so heater circuit problems. Heater may have failed, connector at heater burnt out, broken wiring in the pivot of the door or pcb failure are all possible.

Power off if you intend to investigte this yourself.

P/no 481236068693 – shop@ on the task bar on the left will be able to source you one promptly.

Apologies for the delay, I’ve been even more manically busy than usual.

    Re: Prima LPR600 puzzling problem.

Mmm – kind of suggests a logic error if it’ll only heat on test.

PCB is p/no 481221470324. It is around £130 + VAT, so be very sure in your mind that this is what you want – it won’t be a returnable part under any circumstances.

There are firms who recondition and repair these boards with varying degrees of success and can offer considerable savings against the manufacturers prices.

Re: Bosch sgs5312gb/12 – NOT a pcb problem!

Standard problem problem with these is underfilling due to the transfer pipe running across the front of the machine at the bottom sludging up. It can also choke the water level control chamber on the left hand side if particularly bad. Strange stuff then happens to programme times.

The other one to check on the older Bosch machines was burnt-out joints on the pcb. Again, they can be intermittent, but the timings go completely wonky.

Anything else is likely to be pcb related.

Burnley, eh? Still, didn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. Mind you, Wolves got us home and away.

Next season – attention to detail please, Spurs.

E54 is caused by a rapid double click on the “Start/Pause” button. Once the message appears on the screen, press and hold the button to clear.

Re: Help- Diplomat ADP5426 not working 🙁

Either an earth leak through an element or a faulty selector switch would be my thoughts. The thermostats are simple on/off devices, so a failure in the closed position would result in full heat pretty sharpish.

Awkward one to get right without a test meter and an insulation tester – pro help may well be your best option.

Power off if you do intend to hae a look t this yourself.
