    Wait for the machine to finish filling and start to circulate. Pop the door open, quickly – you should get wet and see water (briefly) from both rotors. If you don’t, the impellor may well have sheared off the shaft in the motor.

    Pump housing and impellor is available as a spare part.

    Set it to spin and see if the motor runs – you’ll need to wait about a minute before it comes on. Grinding noise may be the pump.

    Please post the full model number – SM56 doesn’t come up. It should be etched into the top of the door inner panel; later machines have a label down the edge of the door.

    It’s a Merloni washer dryer, so it’ll be the computer, the computer or the computer, I’d think.

    There should be a clip, top right of the dispenser. The thermistor just pushes into place.

    The old 400 machine – different belts depending on whether or not the motor was offset or in the middle. I think……
