Yup, still here. I do try and have a life around appliances! 😀 .

Not sure what else I can tell you really. If you’re getting both relays clicking over on start up, you’ve made progress. I suppose you’re down to component checking now. You know that the lock works; resistance through inlet valves and pump would be the next step, brushes in the motor can do some odd things, earth faults on the heater can do some very strange things.

Once you get into board level stuff, it can get very complex and it’s over the heads of most of us – we simply don’t have that much time per job.

Contact your local agent and arrange a service call. If you are not sure who that is, contact the ISE office on 0845 226 1268 and they’ll get things moving for you.

It’s an elderly slimline Bosch machine, Baruch. There is a parts explosion on http://www.bshcustomerservice.com , so BSH is still supprting the machine. Contacting their technical people might be your best course of action.

I think you’ll need to give us some more info – the numbers quoted don’t seem to come up. Worth checking around the edge of the inner door for a rating label. Carlton is a Curry’s brand name, so it’s a “proprietary” machine with a badge stuck on it. If we can work out what the base model is we can get somewhere.

Pretty standard corruption issue by the sound of it. Article HERE will give you some idea of what you’re up against.

Pressure switch is the round object at the front – lower front cover plate off to view. It will have a small clear plastic hose running to it.

No, the IWMS cannot be opened up for cleaning. Article HERE.

It’s b’ awkward – those spring rings are viscious. I rather think I removed the hose on the last one I did, hooked up the heater, then put the hose back. Still a swine……

Part number for heater is 50277796-00/4 – spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will be able to get you one promptly.

Re: Zanussi DE6744 continually washes never stops

Interesting. It may well be a water level issue – the water level is controlled by the displacement of air into a diaphragm switch (pressure switch) via an air chamber in the Internal Water Management System (IWMS). This is the amazing moulding under the left hand side panel. It also contains a secondary safety system. If the matrix becomes clogged up with muck and goo, the water level chamber may not function, and the air is diverted to a secondary chamber, which forces air to the pneumatic shut-off device attached to the inlet valve. The circulation motor may well run, but the heater will not be activated. It is only activated by the pressure switch switching.

Moving the machine may just have disturbed things enough to allow the pressure switch system to work. Hoik the side panel off and have a look. If the lower part of the chamber looks gooey, that will be your problem.

I would start by checking for broken wiring down at the pivot point of the door. Door outer and power off for access.

F02 – motor circuitry fault. As far as I can remember, there were three, possibly four, different motors fitted to these machines and each one needs to match the embedded software in the computer.

If you will please post up the part number of the motor which you bought and the serial number of your machine, Uncle Jim may be able to tell what’s going on.
