It’s got THIS LITTLE DEVIL in it. Usual source of this problem.

Please don’t multi post – we’re only engineers and get confused easily.

Strange thing to say, given that the advice given so far is from “the engineers”.

Look, it’s a very poor quality machine. You can shell out the £100 odd to buy a replacement circulation pump, but it isn’t going to make the machine reliable. It will be a constant drain on your resources to keep it running. If, like so many of us these days, budget is an issue, I’d get the Marigolds out for a couple of months and save up for (non-Chinese) replacement.

    Your call, of course.

It’s an elasticated belt – they un-ravel occasionally. It happens.

That does not affect a fill issue.

    Please ignore the posters advice.

If you actually bothered to apply for Trade Access (you have been told before, several times), you might get an answer.

    Sort it.

Nope, pcb is having a fissy fit. Pay The Indesit Company £99.85 and get the pcb replaced. If you really want to, of course.

All of the larger rental agencies have a general fixer/handyman on their books. Make a fixed time appointment and ask if they’ll send him round to lend a hand.

Re: Indisit DI 620 door lock problems

If the casing is twisted, the door will not want to close. Never mind the top of the machine, get the plinth off and raise the adjustable feet to square it up. If you’re still struggling, a new latch mechanism may be required.

Re: SMEG DWF 44 SS.1 problem

Correct. There is a known issue with the impellor in the circulation pump shearing off the shaft of the pump motor. It all whirs away, but not a lot of water gets moved. Big strip down job to check. The impellor and housing is available as a spare part – 690070533 is the part number.

I’m afraid that your description of the fault is not very clear. Please explain what you mean by the “metal plates”.

This is a SMEG-built dishwasher. The door latch and the panel it mounts on are a known weak point in the design; however if the door doesn’t latch/unlatch properly, the machine will either not programme or no start.

We need some more to work with.

    Re: AEG Dishwasher having problems

    Hi Adam,

Flood protection activated – the base tray is full of water and the float switch has over-ridden the programming.

First step is to get rid of the water. I would suggest that you get the machine removed from the housing, then remove the decor door. Once you’ve done that, you can remove the front lower cover and side panels and have a look at what’s going on. With the power off and some towels down, tip the machine to one side to drain the water in the tray, the machine should then re-set and become functional. If you have an adequate length of fill hose, run the machine. Using a bit of caution, look under the machine carefully – you’re playing spot the leak. A torch will help.

BTW, it’s £50 for the first hour down here in Leeds.

See what you can find and report back.

F03 – no drain detected in time allowed. Might be syphoning – anyway, water level related.
