ParticipantRe: Spam
Here’s a little something to ponder……..
Darkknight. Posts a reply relating to drainage, has signature linking to UK-Drains.
Jasonroach posts a reply relating to a lock problem, has signature linking to A2Blocks.There’s another one as well, but I can’t find it……. 👿
Neither of them says anything constructive, but not offensive in ant way.
I reckon it’s a bit of subtle spamming……..
Not doing subtelty, I have edited the UK-Drains link to DrainDoctor and the A2Blocks one to Timpsonslocksmiths.
Wonder if they’ll ever check their links?
Chris.

ParticipantRe: AFA250 error lights ?
It’s an odd one. The code specifically points at the inlet valve; however, the tech info suggests a flow meter failure. Your machine hasn’t got one…… Otherwise, you need to check the condition of the rotors (tip blockages). The safety cut-out may be operating early, or the connnectors to the pcb are not making a clean contact. No specific answer, I’m afraid.
Stay safe, unplug before handling components.

ParticipantRe: Bosch SMS6032GB/08 Drinks Rinse Aid
This machines’ dispenser is activated by mechanical plungers running down from the timer. I can only suggest that you remove the outer door panel (The six screws on the inner door liner will release the outer door) and observe what is going on. From your description, the dispenser is either ctacked or allowing water to wash in during the wash.
Observation is fine, pull the plug before touching anything….

ParticipantRe: Ariston Margherita AWD125 – dial rotating & 7 flashe
It specifically means that the heater relay on the computer board is stuck. You need to check the heater for resistance and the wiring for continuity with your test meter to eliminate them from your enquiries; if OK, the board is the culprit.

Neither of the above machines has a sealed tank.

ParticipantRe: Miele W2240 Check Drain light flashing
As the machine is coupled to the sink, ensure that the drain hose is routed in such a way that it runs down to the spigot, not drooping downwards. As you have found, back flow from the sink can form solid deposits.

Pritstick,
Be advised that Gandh1 is not a Trade Member of UKWhitegoods, we have no way of judging his competency with regard to you problem. The information by Helo_75 is technically accurate and points to the heater relay fault – almost inevitably a control board problem.
The usual way of dealing with this is to use your 5 year parts warranty and pay The Indesit Company £99.85 to sort it.

ParticipantRe: Disturbing News.
The turn out was rather higher than usual because of the expenses scandal……
I’m on the podium up at the back, BTW. That’s about 35,000 rows back and 1,500 in from the left. Very distictive, I’m the one with the beard.

ParticipantRe: Diplomat 8234 leaking
OK – the water is dripping into the tray under the machine. If it is comong from the right hand side of the machine whilst it is filling with water, you need to remove the panel and look at the water matrix – there are two “O” ring seals at the bottom which can cause leaks.
If the leak is over towards the left, you need to look at the locking ring for the salt chamber (inside the machine) or the circulation motor itself. The seals may be weeping.

Mr Conway is a quiet, unassuming and unheralded genius. Until the fourth pint.
Piccie.Spares@ is quietly taking over the world, so Dave isn’t on much these days. If you open an account with spares@, you will get a concessionary rate against the retail prices.

Almost certainly the fan oven element which has failed. Drop and email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and ask for an EL14106. Doesn’t appear to be in the shop@ facility.
Useful article HERE.
Stay safe – power off if you intend to resolve this yourself.
