    Re: Cycle stopping

    Right…….

Drag it out and tip it back (with the power disconnected) and drop the pump out. Separate the motor unit from the pump body. This may be three screws, some are a “twist fit”.

1/ Turn the impellor. It should move freely then resist every 1/4 of a turn then “ping” over. If it feels stiff or sluggish, it’s knackered.

2/ Take hold of the impellor and try to wiggle it from side to side. If you can feel any lateral movement, it’s knackered.

3/ Look at the blades of the impellor. They should be smooth and pretty much square tipped – if they look rounded off and pitted, it’s knackered.

4/ You might like to consider one other point. Most integrated appliances are connected to a sink spigot. This is a smaller diameter than that of the drain hose. Certain foreign objects (5p coins, buttons and the like ) are small enough to get through the filter and be expelled from the pump, but not be able to get through the sink spigot. They can then act as a flap valve – sometimes they lie in-line with the flow and the water passes, sometimes they pop up in the flow and block it.

    Re: Hoover HNWF7148 error codes

    Coreboard programmed for HNWF7148 is p/no 09200828.
    Coreboard programmed for HNWL7166 is p/no 09200706.

The coreboard is a generic Candy part, which is factory programmed to specific parameters appropriate to each model. They can vary per model according to serial number in some instances.

As a repairer, I would arrive at a diagnosis of board failure after eliminating all other components and their wiring. That’s all any repairer needs to know before we fit a replacement board. We simply don’t have the time to get into board component level repairs.

That’s rather odd – there was a Whirlpool tumble dryer post up this morning. The OP had disappeared by lunchtime and now the whole thread has gone…… ?

    Re: Hoover AL130 drum bearings

The bearings aren’t the problem, it’s the seal. You need THIS LITTLE LOT.

Tank out and split to fit – centre seal is usually fine.

    It’s a SMEG-built appliance. You will need p/no 792970179 – spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one promptly.

Fitting is 2 screws, 2 wires and three hoses – power off first.

Re: Bosch Classixx 1000 Washing Machine

The machine uses a carbon brush drive motor, the carbons will have worn away, thus stopping the motor.

A badly choked filter may restrict the machines ability to spin properly. It would not affect the tumbling action during wash.

If Adrian isn’t going to release the material, we need to contact the department quickly – they will have copies of everything. I should think that they will offer copies to a WTA member or better still, Chair, if asked. They may be pedantic, but they’re not monsters.
