Re: BOSCH WTA2000 DRYER ONLY ONE HEAT SETTING WORKING

    You’ll need one of THESE.

It’s a screwdriver job – remove the back panel to access. Make a note of exactly where all wires go, ‘cos we can’t help you if you get it wrong……

    Power off first.

The lift pump is in a box on the floor at the back of the machine. Unplug, pop the cover and lift the pump out. Clean out all the fluff and lint, then use a stout ty-rap to rod through the inlet channel in the left hand corner. If water flows into the chamber, you’ve cleared it.

If the pump is actually faulty, it’s part number 1702988. spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will be able to get you one promptly.

I can send you a wiring diagram and a schematic if that’s any help?

    Re: Servis M3008W problem

Does it spin if it empties? If the pressure switch has failed in the “full” position, the machine will already think it’s full, so won’t fill. This usually blows the heater BTW. Possible that the air bell feeding the preesure switch is full of sludge, thus failing to depressurise and holdin the switch in the full position.

If it does spin when empty, the pressure switch is working and the problem almost certainly will lie with the pcb.

As a responsible parent at this point, you should buy said daughter a decent quality machine…….

Re: BOSCH SLIMLINE SPS 24 heating problem

This an old electro-mechanical slimline machine. It employs static heat (ie. timer stops until temperature is achieved, themostat closing re-starts the timer). If it completes the cycle cold, logically, the thermostat has jammed in the closed position and is allowing the timer to run through the heat positions without heating.

This a complete and total cow of a job. The thermostat is only supplied as part of the heater assembly and fitting involves taking the entire cavity off the base unit.

If you’re feeling brave, the heater unit is p/no 094499, about £92. spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one if you wish to attempt the repair. Not sure that I’d recommend it.

Multi-function tablets froth like crazy and really just don’t do what you think they do.

The next step is to remove the decor door and door outer panel. This will reveal the bottom of the cavity and the bottom door seal. With the power off, clean everything that you can see. Stand well back and run the machine and see if the water is still shooting under the door seal. The front edge of the cavity occasioanlly bows out with the heat – pushing it back may fix it if you’re lucky. Failing that, you may be looking at replacing the door inner panel, complete with bottom seal. Never done one or know of anyone who has – nasty, expensive job.

    Good luck,

I think that that’s the flood protection system operating.

The tray under the machine has enough water in it to operate a float switch, which over-rides any programming. You need to drain this water out and allow the machine to dry out before trying again. Standard leak is caused by over-foaming, usually a result of multi-function tablets. These little horrors froth like mad and run down the over flow tubes or turret and flood the base. Separate products are a better bet, or a low froth detergent like Fairy Bursts if you wish to avoid a repetition.

If you want to know what you’re up against, put ‘chinese AND dishwasher’ into search for this forum only…… Pretty grim reading.

Power off first if you’re doing this yourself, please.

    Re: Whirlpool FCSM6 oven element

If there is power to the element, it should function…….

Please note (Being a Public Forum… ) that UKW does not condone, support or advise on any form of “live” testing. Use of a test meter to perform a resistance test should suffice – 25-30 ohms is typical with a fan oven element.

This is an obligatory Public Safety Announcement.

Sure you’ve got that right? The one covered up is 128 – you need to go from the right to the left.

38 is to do with water level control – possible that the air hose to the pressure switch is off or holed; or that the pressure switch is faulty.

    It should be THIS ONE.

You may like to check the pcb on top of the oven. Element failure can blow tracks off it; then it gets very expensive…..

    Power off first, please.

Elememt is almost certainly the culprit. Would you please post up the 12nc number (the one that starts with 8 ) as there are numerous variants of the oven.

Flood protection operating? Tray under the machine may be full of water. This causes a float switch to operate and over-ride any programme by running the drain pump.

Power off, drain undertray, find leak……

Left to right, 1-6 (I think….) which ones are lit? I suspect you’ve got one of the Chinese ones, which usually points at a board failure because of the leaks into the tray under the machine.

    Re: aeg favorit 50870 error.20

If you think there’s blockage, it will be in the drain pump (or the pump will have failed). The instructions above tell you how to access it, so yes, the door outer panel has to go, as does the plastic kick panel and the metal cover panel behind it.
