Two in a day, who’d have thought?

Well done – as Aqua said, I trust you put some slack in the wiring.

Re: AEG Lavamat Turbo 16830 Not Drying

Probably the filter being partially blocked will cause the scrape marks – machine will empty (slowly) until the water level trips, computer goes “I’m empty” and sets the spin sequence off – huge rush of water out of the laundry and the machine can’t clear it fast enough = big vibrations.

The problem is compounded with combi machines – the dryers release huge amounst of lint form the laundry.

Well done with the wiring. Releasing the wiring from the loom at the bottom allows a bit more slack, BTW.

Lower panel off. Lid and facia off. Four screws revealed to allow the front outer panel to hinge down. Four spring clips to release front inner panel and reveal the lock.

Ignore the beeps – count the pattern of the flashing light; ie 1-2-3-4-pause-repeat. That’s an error code.

    Superglue is not waterproof…..

Belt – remove the duct which the motor shaft passes through. Re-fit duct. Drop drum into the machine. Using extreme prejudice, wind the belt onto the drum by turning it. An extra pair of hands at this point is helpful. Once the belt is on and more or less on the track round the drum, then fit the back panel to the drum support. Refitting the back panel to the casing will tension the belt.

    Wash hands and fit plasters.

I *think* there is a connecting hose between the drain pump and the actual outlet hose. Probably the place to start.

If it’s leaking when it’s not in use, I’d be looking at the fill and drain hoses and possibly the circulation pump seals.

Re: Candy CD797 Smart Leaking underneath

This one of those slightly impossible questions, I’m afraid.

Circulation pump seal, vent seals through the side, water into the fan housing, hoses to the fill chambers are all possible suspects.

    Observation required.

You might be on a hiding to nothing with this – I have never managed to re-attach the impellor permanently and the pump motor is over £40 if you buy it as a WK part (Cheaper than Bosch).

    Still, educational experience…. 😀
