Thanks K,quite a good list but tbh nothing i’d didn’t all ready know.
It just seems like there’s more and more of obscure brands and the ins co still expect the same level of service.
I seem to spend half my time chasing parts and part no’s,name of the game i suppose.
would be nice if we could get something up and running where you type in a make and model and it comes back with a spares provider?

The thing that really grates me is when w/pl can’t handle the work they expect the likes of us to pick up the pieces, meanwhile we’re expected to sit on the side lines and watch to see what happens.The other problem is w/pl can afford to subsidise the refridgeration work by off setting the money they make everywhere else.The true independent has no chance; just keep bouncing from one work provider to another.Bitter, me?surely not!!

Bosch engineers use a low melting point silver solder with a gas soldering iron.Dont no if you can get that from the stores. i no it does the trick tho

Think this was mentioned a while back.The conclusion was you need a cert for 134a but was ok with 600a.As far as stickers go,you should display explosive for the the 600a and best to display compressed gas for the 134a.if in doubt display em is what we have always done the problem starts if you need to travel through restricted areas.IE tunnels.The the dilema is wether you need a police escort or not!!!
