ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Vtd00 Dryer
Hi I dont think the noise is from the back. I have tried it with 1 washer worked ok for 1 load before it started making the noise again. I went back fitted 2 washers and again it was ok for a load or two before it started again. I have in the past come across the drum rubbing the back but this seems to be coming more from the front. I have had the machine apart about 5 times in total and every time I put it back together its ok but only for a short time. I will try and record it and get my son to put a vid up.
Thanks,

I dont have a pic mate but I think this one uses the outer door frame for the spring to push against, so until its back in one piece you wont get any tension.

I do yes,
18-25mm HFX382 item code 971507
25-35 and 27-40mm HFX384 item code 971523
They were on the rack with all the car fuses scotch locks and that sort of stuff.
I used them for a Kenwood dishwasher so not sure what size you would need for the hotpoint. They are 9mm wide

Hi, I had this problem the other week, went to all my local motor factors and none of them had anything like it.
My local Halfords had a range of thin jubilee clips, worked a treat.ray.t

Thanks for that, I will get a kit and see how I go.
To change it does the top come off or do you get access from the side panels?
Thanks,

I did one of these a while back. I drilled through the points were the screws would normally be, didnt take much drilling to remove and just screwed on a new shaft.

I use a pair of long nose pliers and plenty of wd40 and they go on ok.
I know what you mean though, the first one I did took about about an hour to do.

ParticipantRe: hoover PE235 stops after spin on rinse
Had one like this the other day, the small plug on the bottom of the timer had just come out a bit. Pushed it back in and it worked fine.

Hi I tested it again it filled and washed ok pumped out fine and got stuck again just on drain.
I think it is a problem with the pressure switch, I have ordered one and I will post with the outcome.
