    Thanks Ken,
I think you’re right about a tangled web and why do they include a ‘photo of the Ariston Indesit factory. 😈
It’ll all come out in the wash so to speak.
    Thanks again.

    Hi Chris,
impellors on these are 37mm, smaller than normal drain Askolls and I’m sure i have fitted these as recirc pumps on Zans.

Qualtex econ pump(Askoll) £3.61. Quite a bit cheaper.

Then that’s why my way works. It’s on the address label. 8)

Had problems with Yodel with both Amazon and John Lewis in the past fortnight. Lying about me not being in (Amazon not in the least interested) and delivering to a house far away in my village but John Lewis were on the ball. As for Connect, I put on the address bar “IF OUT LEAVE AT FRONT DOOR” and they do.

I think you have made a boob here as it sounds OK at first but imagine some of the awful sights you may behold, 😥 just think of some of your worst customers as the larger and less firm will put most strain on the fitting. Unless of course you filter out the less desirable and send them to a collegue 8)

I’ve got one of the Icetech feezers mentioned, bought from Currys. Do you think I’ve got a case for a refund?

How many houses do you go to and ring the bell…….nothing, knocker and a bang on the door, they appear….Oh the bell hasn’t worked for months now. Then take it off the frame or put a bl**dy sticker on it.

Went out today and it heats on the short rotation but goes off on the long one.
Did the cleanup and new sensor.
Looks like the board and probably a White Knight on the way…unless there are other ideas.

As this forum is sponsered by Qualtex have they had anything to say on this subject?

Re: guarantee on non part repair?

Many of the non-gen are genuine ie.Hotpoint, Candy and others and some real non-gen last longer than the real thing. Had problems with Neff but not with either Qualtex or Connect alternatives.
I know that with washing machine elements Martin has had a few problems but I haven’t as yet.

Re: guarantee on non part repair?

I always do oven elements for 12 months, generally £12 or under and a good profit on fitting and mainly Hotpoint types and only cost me about a fiver. Connect give three months and Qualtex 6 months.
Not worth the hassle, just fit FOC and keep them happy. If I was paying I would expect most parts to last a year.

Re: guarantee on non part repair?

Depending on the job I put “Part guaranteed 12 months” as many parts are quite cheap and it keeps the customer happy but as Martin says, blocked pumps, handles, not a chance however with a regular customer I’ll often bend my rules or make a nominal,£25 charge.

    Ruined his garden.
you can get a Hotpoint/Indesit or Hoover/Candy to do that without any outside help 😆
