ParticipantRe: call out / labour fee phone speech ??
I’m just a one man band but always say “I’ll tell you my charges. £20 for an estimate plus another £25 to complete the job plus parts, no vat.” It is another £10 for built in on both counts. Never seems to put people off and leaves no room for argument. Do make a fair bit on parts though.
I’m always being told I’m cheap. 😳

You can now tell her it does but “doesn’t look like it does” 8) As you see it looks like it only starts half way through the 40′ wash.

Perfectly normal, it’s a wonder the customer never mentioned it to you. You did mention it to her? 😆

ParticipantRe: how far do you go
I’ve also had this and if I give a refund then I always take my call out charge from the refund so I’m not totally out of pocket. As I always state my charges when booking they can’t argue.

ParticipantRe: Door seal Hoover HF7 150M
The new seal has the part no. moulded into it and is a genuine GIAS bagged part. I’m going back with another just in case it’s a bad mould.
Thanks to all.

That’s a blooming big van he has there. Must be to carry all the stock or new machines for BER.

Servis went pop October 2008. Despite all the aggro they weren’t as bad to work on as is normally said on here but now with parts becoming scarce apart from availability from one poster on here I’m using up my stock from my loft and not sourcing anymore in the way of modules but they are rarer than ever now, in fact I’m doing more quartz than the AM ones.

Whoops! I stuck an extra 8 in my post.
Suede,I have tried that seal and it’s too big a diameter so stuck on this.

ParticipantRe: Cannot order from BSH eshop as trade?
Martin,
I’ve been using it regularly but the bit I said about reminding them to activate the account was when I first applied about 3 years ago and was directed to Simon. I didn’t word it clearly.

I keep getting “enter your email” but it is showing me it at the time.
I had to remind them to activate my account after about a month of waiting.

ParticipantRe: Scrap Stainless
I got my licence last year, £150 for three years.
I was getting £9 for two machines just two months ago. Have a load of old motors and elements to go next, may help pay some of the tax due at the end of the month 😥

I think the top advert should say,
“We built it……Sorry” 😳
