On this model the pipe leading from the drain can sometimes block up and the pipe has to be removed to clear the blockage.

Have you ever had the Beko recall Modification on your fridge.

Check with Beko if you have not you will need the serial number.

If you have had the modification it will be the electronic timer or the thermostat faulty.

If you have not had the Mod it will be the thermostat or possibly if it has the mechanical timer then it could be the timer and a fire risk.

It could also be the Timer if it has had the mod to an electronic timer.

On the bottom right behind the covers inside the freezer is a small return air flow channel it is more than likely blocked with ice.

Have you got the key lock button turned on?
The buttons will not work if the lock is displayed.
Hold the key lock button for three seconds to turn it off if it is displayed.

You can try turning off at the mains for Twenty minutes then turn it on again this sometimes resets the fridge freezer to its default setting.

    Re: counter fridge not defrosting

Is the ice build up even over the rear panel ?.

If the ice build up is just near the top then it would be a refrigerant or compressor problem and on a small fridge would be beyond economical repair and is not a DIY job.

If it is evenly over the back then make sure you have wired the new thermostat correctly and check the compressor turns off with the stat set at zero.

If it runs with the stat at zero then the stat is wired incorrectly.

    Re: Samsung RS21JGRS

Press the power cool and freezer temp buttons for 12 seconds.
You should here it beep at 12 seconds make sure it’s 12 seconds or you will be in a different mode.
You should have zero on freezer side and zero on fridge side displayed.
Then press power freeze or freezer temp buttons to display 3 on freezer side and 0 on the fridge side this gives a Five second fill.
Three is for the ice timer function. o is the time of fill.
To adjust the fill you press the fridge temp or power cool button.
    I = 4 seconds 2 =3 seconds 3 = 6 seconds then increases 1 second at a time up to 10 and 15 is maximum fill time of 25 seconds.
This is displayed on the fridge side.
After 20 seconds when you set the Icemaker it goes back to the normal display.
You can test the level with the test button on the Icemaker.
Make sure you have a container to collect the water under the ice maker when testing.
This is from memory but if you check on line it should be in the RS21 service / installation manual.
It would be unusual for the timing to be out unless the water pressure has changed or the solenoid is faulty.

Yes the pcb can be programmed to adjust the water level.

If you put the model number and serial number into the samsung web site you should be able to get the details up in the installation handbook.

You adjust it on the display PCB.

    Re: Freezer hinge

You will have to take the outer deco door off first then it is better to take off the complete freezer door to check both hinges as sometimes you will find the top hinge faulty as well.
It is not difficult to change the hinges as the door can be held closed by the tension of the hinge springs when refitting.

Check the fan is working that is the most common fault is the fan has failed.

The fan only runs with the door closed so press the light switch to test if the fan works.

It does have a short delay for the fan to cut in after holding the switch down.

If the repairer is prepaired to fit a compressor that he does not supply he may not warranty the repair.

The cost of the compressor from Brian is a good price as the recommended retail price is a lot more for the compressor.

You then have to add the cost of gas and sundries plus the fitting cost.

You would need to check with the repairer first to find out his cost for fitting , gas and sundries and if he will fit a compressor he has not supplied.

Re: Samsung Fridge Freezer : SR-L3928B Freezer Died

As it is a normal fridge on top freezer on the bottom fridge freezer I would say it would be Beyond Economical Repair.

It is hard to put a price as it depends on the indipendent repairers charges.

You also have to find a repairer that can change a compressor as there are not many of us about now.
