I am not sure of the model but I think all neff ovens used the same film.

If it has ice build up near the top it will have lost some refrigerant or the compressor is not pumping correctly ( worn ).
Due to the cost of this type of repair I would go for a replacement as it is 18 years old.

If you can hear the compressor running and gurgling in the pipe work it has lost the gas because of a leak or the compressor has failed / not pumping correctly.
Due to the age it is most likely beyond economical repair for this type of fault.Bob

If you get a door scratched or damaged on a Smeg fridge freezer you have to order as a pair to get a colour match. ( Expensive repair )
I would not like to guess how much the doors cost if it had delivery damage.
In my area it is a better investment to Leave an old fridge in the street and hope Banksy paints it 😀

Repair care / Connect are the agents for spares but your model is not listed.
It is worth checking to see if your fridge has a product code as alternative parts might be available under another make.
Spares 2 go online list it keeps parts for your model but I would check for a product code first as sometimes alternatives are sometimes a lot cheaper.

Re: A Great Loss
I was unaware it was today otherwise I would have been there.
He will be missed at the meetings and was saying to me on the evening I should not pack it in completely when I retire at the end of the year and he was still going to carry on after he reached retirement age.
It shows no one can tell what tomorrow brings and he looked so well the last time I seen him.
A great loss to friends and family he will always be remembered and missed.

Is the clicking noise coming from the compressor at the back ?.
If it is then the compressor will be seized and not cheap to repair.
