If it was a refrigerant issue the fan would still run.

If you have had it modified and an electronic timer is fitted then it will need a new electronic timer or the thermostat is faulty.

Both worth repairing as this model was reliable apart from the Timer safety issue.

    Re: help with fridge freezer

Have you ever had this model modified buy Beko .

If not this model was subject to a free of charge recall on the timer.

It sounds like the defrost timer is faulty and should have the mechanical timer replaced with an electronic one.

If you have not had it modified phone Beko on 0800 9172018 and have the Model and serial number handy when you Phone.

If it was a compressor fault the fan would still run.

Most likely the defrost heater in the fridge faulty

This is the most common fault for intermitatantly tripping the RCD

    I always recommend Samsung.

The best appliances to keep us Indipendents in business.

At least you can always get the spares and nearly always repairable and economical to repair.

If it is intermittent then it will be the fridge side defrost heater is the most likely fault.

    Vulcan Lockring.

Connect or Qualtex will deliver if you buy enough the rep will bring it to you.

But a recent update I received from F Gas you will soon have to produce your F gas registration number to sale or purchase any refrigerant gas. Including R600a.
R22 & R134a will not be legal to use after July 2015.

It will be interesting to see what happens with most cars using R134a for air conditioning and Mercedes are refusing to use R600a

I am F gas registered so should have no problems but it will be like the Gas Safe the way it is going with less repairers for refrigeration.

A good chance it is frozen up and iced up the fan motor.

The fault will most likely be the defrost drain rubber NRV above the compressor stuck together or blocked so the defrost water cannot run away.

You will have to fully defrost it to make sure the drain is clear and trim the NRV so it cannot stick together but still reduses the air into the freezer

Yes it could be the fan motor as this is a more common fault on a Daewoo.

It is rare for a Daewoo to have any other faults than a fan motor not working.

If you have snow behind the lower baskets it will be a defrost heater fault.

It may be the flap between the fridge and freezer no fully closing.

Or a sensor fault unlikely to be the PCB.

or if it runs and rarely cuts out it may be a refrigerant problem.

It could be a number of things.

Check the condenser is free of fluff.

Check the fan motors in side and outside, you need to press in the door switch in the freezer with the door open to check the fan inside is working when the compressor is running.

Or it may be iced up in the freezer and has not defrosted itself properly.

The display panel just clips on and you just have to carefully lever it off with a flat screwdriver.

At the bottom is two slots for a flat screwdriver to fit to lever it off carefully from the bottom.

To refit you just have to push it back on or use the palm of your hand to hit it near the edges to clip it back on.

Make sure the power is off before removing the display.

You need to fit a new back cover as the polystyrene insulation has failed and is holding moisture.

When you get a new panel if you compair the weight of the old panel to the new one you will feel how much heavier the old one is as it will be full of water.
