    Re: Thermostat advice please

3 & 4 should work ok with the new stat.

It may have been too cold after running continues

Have you tried it since to see if it works.

The stat shown should be available from the whitegoods shop

    Re: Siemens fridge thermostat wiring

Make sure the appliance is unpluged before changing the stat.

    Black always fit on 4

    Brown normally 6

    Blue to 3

Green or green and yellow earth wire to the outside terminal on the body of the stat.

    After changing the stat.

Turn the stat to the off position before turning the power back on.

If it does not run in the off position with the power back on then it will be wired correctly.

Turn the stat on and it should work ok if the stat was the fault.

If you turn the power on and it’s runs without the stat turned on then swop blue to 6 and brown to 3

On the plus side Samsung are easy to repair and spares are always easy to obtain.

I like Samsung as the American type Samsung give me plenty of work.

The Samsung American fridge freezer have always had the same problems but they out sell all the other American Type fridge Freezers.

So probably just as reliable as any other make but easier for spares and Repair.

Anyone working with R134a should be F Gas registered.

It sounds as if he does not understand how the different refrigerants work.

R134a is still legal if you are F Gas Registered.

Most car air conditioning runs on R134a but it is being phased out for more environmentally friendly refrigerants.

Re: Diplomat ADP5520 – Main oven not functioning – fuses ?

Have you set a time on the clock.

It does not have to be the correct time, but if a time is not set it will not work.

It should then work but will most likely not heat up.

It will be the fan element and you will need to replace it.

It will be the fan oven element if the fan and bulb are working.

You will not do any damage to the wiring or stat as long as the earth wire is in the correct place. ( The outer body of the stat terminal ).

The black stays on T4 and the other two wires are on the live side of the stat T3 & T6.
T6 is normally the permantly live for the light.

Re: Bosch KUL15A40GB/04 Larder Fridge Wiring Diagram

T4 is the feed for the compressor that is why the bulb only works when the compressor is running.

The brown should fit on the T6 and the Blue on the T3.

If you turn the thermostat to the off 0 the compressor should not run if it does run then you need to swop brown back to T3 and blue to T6.

T3 and T6 terminals are linked together on all stats.

Some stats 3 & 4 is the switch for the compressor and some stats 6 & 4 is the switch.

T6 on most stats is for the light. So you may need to just move the blue from 4 to 6.

Then test the compressor is not running with stat in the off position.

    Hope this helps

Black always fits too terminal 4 on thermostats. ( numbers next to terminals )

Brown normally fits too terminal 6

Blue normally fits to terminal 3

If the compressor runs when the thermostat is set in the off position 0 .

Then you need to switch brown to terminal 3 and blue to 6.

Retest in the off position 0 if the compressor is off then when you turn the stat on it should work Ok.

    Re: Manufacturers guarantee

If the customer can provide proof of purchase date to the manufacturer most manufacturers will cover under Warenty.

The customer needs to phone the manufacturer and tell them she or he can supply a proof of purchase receipt , model and serial number.
